I used to live in a very mj friendly town. It seemed like the whole community was down to chill. I recently moved to a much more conservative state, and I haven't been able to find a relaxed group to hang out with. What would you do if you moved to a new area, knowing nobody, and wanted to find a new group of mj friendly people?
Network Are you in Texas still? I have heard they have allot of good bud, you just have to sort through allot of Mexican brick since your so close to the border.
"Hi I'm your new neighbor ...... Do you have any papers? If they reflexively reach for a pocket or glance furtively at the coffee table etc fine you've found a head. If they look confused you follow with "I'm getting a puppy and I'll need to paper train him." Try the coffee shops near the college....
Smooth idea Ranger. Definitely try to meet some college kids, I'm sure you can pick out the hippies!!! They will lead you to your MJ destination!
Wow, lots of responses! Where I used to live there were a couple of green-friendly coffee houses, but it seems like it is mostly Starbucks around me. Not sure if that is the best place for me to find what I need! I will stop by the local college campuses and see if there are any hippy-lookin places. Good idea! I do still live in Texas. I have alays heard that the herb is cheap and plentiful down here, but when I lived near the northern border it seemed like more was coming down from Canada than up from Mexico!
I'm not sure what a jam band is or where they would play, could you explain? I know that when I went to college there were a lot of small local bands that would play at frat parties and block parties, is that what you mean?
Cool! Like tracking bees to the hive, spot a hippie, follow till you lose him and wait there for the next one...etc..ljust might work ...lol Back in the '60s when I had a head shop at Allan's Landing that was the hippie area of Houston. (hippies & bikers) The Westhiemer also might be good. Again I was there in the '60s.
Style of music that bands like Phish or The Grateful Dead are known for. Called jam music because similar to jazz musicians they just go with it night to night. The songs can take different directions and vibes even though it's still the same song. The band feeds off one another and the crowd to make each show unique. Thus why people go to 100's of shows. No night is the same as the last. I have been passed a pipe by random people I didn't know 10 minutes before at a jam show. But I talked to them and one thing leads to another. Everyone is generally pretty friendly and allot of people will be smoking. But don't go just to score drugs, you won't have fun at all. Try to learn some of the band's stuff and see if you can get into it. You look like law enforcement calling a bong anything other then a water pipe. You will always be kicked out. But once the local head shop knows you they will probably be cool. My friend gets free stuff all the time from ours. But I guess it's tough to find a reason to go into one unless you have some herb to begin with haha.
