I want to experience Lsd or psyclobin (or peyote, ayahuasca any psychedelic) in a spiritual revealing way, in relation to a recreational "fun" way... Is there any tips for me that I can do to set up a state of mind or setting up an environment I am in to achieve my goal
Nature and music coupled with a relatively high dose of your preferred substance will help the experience to unfold, but "trying" to make it happen is almost a sure fire way to prevent it from happening. One setting that almost always produces some type of deep experience, whether spiritually blissful or hellishly tormenting, is to take a healthy dose of whatever and then turn out the lights, put on some headphones and spend the next 8 hours alone within yourself. I promise you will come out the other side different.
Thanks I really do appreciate it... Im hoping whether its good or bad trip to have to overcome my fears... after that I figured all my trips would be somewhat magical and know that I can go on a roll without fear of a bad trip.. But thanks for the help another question is if when I do that would it be smarter to be in a place of comfort or a place where I have no opinion about to begin with
Doesn't work like that, unfortunately As for the setting, go comfortable. And make it extra comfortable. You don't wanna push it with these substances, the experiences can be VERY menacing and malevolent..
Nobody can tell you anything to prepare you 100% for this experience, because for everybody experiences something different. As you probably know from tripping on mushrooms [and if you haven't ate an eighth or more at a time do this and come back] that psychedelics can be very powerful and overwhelming. It's best to have another person with you if you are trying to have fun, solitude can aid to spiritual experiences. Previously, a tripping buddy of mine, would never trip alone, but would trip alone in a different room so we could each experience our own solitude and we had a buddy for if we needed it to just go knock on the door of the other room or we were going to go somewhere we both had to go.
Interesting thread... Twice on shrooms, hmm? Wondering too how strong those were. First, kind of wondering what you mean by spiritual. If you mean a deep, consciously connecting experience, that's pretty much a part of a trip if you bring yourself with intention. As opposed to just dropping to "get toasted man". If you pay attention to yourself you can choose a setting that will work well for you. Nature can be the most profound but that's not to say that Nox suggestion would be tame. Quite the opposite actually, a strong dose of lucy or shrooms will talk you places you didn't know you could get to from your bed. Maybe give consideration to intention/set and let that guide your trip. One aspect is no matter how much you plan, the trip will have a different one. Which is why contingency plans are good like Peter Parker mentioned.
A little more on intention... and set and setting. The idea is to start with some sort of goal, like seeking a spiritual experience or looking at your own spiritual state. To add some weight to the intention, start preparation a few days ahead of time. Read and think about some spiritually-oriented things like a few chapters from the Tao Te Ching, Beatitudes (1-10), something from Alan Watts, the usual things. Think about what music might be helpful. Hemi-sync? Bach? Asura? Grateful Dead (Ripple side of American Beauty)? Pink Floyd? All the above? But I usually have music as secondary. What other spiritual things do you have around? Watch your diet in those days - a little lighter, a little healthier. No chili-dogs and fries before tripping. Very light meals the day of. I always mix up a protein drink for later, maybe ~6 hours into the trip (tripping is mentally and physically tiring). Have some granola around, some yogurt, fresh fruit, and so on - natural foods, ones that will pass the acid test. Not usually productive to spend psychedelic time cooking. Need a place to lie down. At home I have a few pillows on the floor of the room I spend most of my time in. But sometimes the bed is best. No TV, video games, and other such distractions (usually completely lacking in spiritual focus). Avoid the phone. I keep mine because my wife might call, but otherwise, I don't want to interact with many people. Here is a website on the matter: http://csp.org/ Happy trails
You know how to make a gemstone shiny and brilliant or how to get metal to gleam in the sun like a mirror, you polish it. Polishing removes the rough outer layers of material and reveals fresh material underneath. Further polishing with more refined materials and techniques yields material of ever greater beauty and value. So it is with psychedelics and spiritual journeys. It isn't all puppy dogs and posies all the time every time. I think most here would agree that the most beneficial and spiritual journey's have had portions spent under the polishing wheel being ground down a little. One last thought for Breezefreedom, don't ever think psychedelics will be predictable and a "no fears" walk in the park after you "face your fears". It's thinking like that that will get you psycho-bitch-slapped harder then you can imagine. It can and does happen to everyone, the important thing is to learn no matter what. I've been using psychedelics for over 35 years, lots. I still had a shroom experience a couple of years ago that rocked my friggin universe, and not in a pleasant way whatsoever, but I was shown and sorted some very important shit in my life. Never take psychedelics for granted, they don't like that very much and can be kinda vindictive little shits at times.
My initial spiritual experiences with psychedelics were pretty much brought upon me by a significant dose and setting as has been mentioned. These types of experiences may not really be chosen necessarily but lessons/ideas/concepts one can accept or fight to a degree. If fought, most likely one may not achieve a spiritual experience. I have found as I got more accustomed to the psychedelic headspace that various spiritual practices can have a rather remarkable synergy with Psychedelics. Practices such as sitting lotus position or aligning the body, trance dancing, drumming, etc. have all propelled some of my experiences to another level.
