So I've been smoking pot almost everyday for a couple of weeks. Not too much each time, just a couple hits here and there. This makes me feel relaxed and sometimes a little giggly and has been helping with my social anxiety disorder.

Last night I went to bed early to get extra rest to ward off a slight cold I felt coming on. But I ended up waking up at 1:30 in the morning. So I thought I'd smoke a little bit so I could fall back to sleep. Well I think I smoked a bit too much. I was the highest I've probably ever been. My vision got so grainy that it looked like there was a screen of pixelated rainbow prisms on my vision. And I've never had so much "breathing" visuals on pot before. On shrooms sure, but this was a little crazy. My hands were tingling so bad.

I decided that I should try to meditate on my chakras, ya know to compare the sensations to other states of consciousness. When I focused on my crown chakra the sensation was so strong. I felt so much energy on the top of my head, then it started to travel down to the other chakras. (I usually do this exercise from the bottom up not top down whether I'm high or not...I don't know why I did it this way.) When I got to my heart chakra I noticed my heart racing. Intense fear started taking over. My face felt numb, I was breathing really fast and felt like I was gonna pass out. I thought I might puke. I was scared to lay down. I thought I was gonna die. The terror was unbelievable. I was ready to wake people up and tell them to call 911. I thought the next morning everyone will wake up to find me dead. when I tried laying down I felt like my heart wasn't beating at all and that I stopped breathing. I thought maybe it was laced with something....but I had been smoking the same stuff for months.

I've never been this terrified before. It took me almost 3 hours to feel safe enough to try to fall back to sleep. Its the next day and I feel incredibly weak. My hands and arms feel like they've been through a fucking marathon. My muscles are burning. I'm feeling a little anxiety creeping in even as I'm just describing my symptoms. I feel like I can never smoke again. I'm afraid that I've triggered panic disorder in myself since I've always had anxiety issues but never panic attacks like this.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before? Looking around online some people have said that they've had panic attacks for the first time after doing kundalini yoga, chakra clearing or have started on the path to spiritual awakening. Any thoughts? I'm never smoking again that's for sure.

    sorry so long...

(I posted this in the marijuana forum as well but no one has answered yet. Wasn't really sure where to put it)

I think you were just high man! Just relax and enjoy the ride next time if you ever do do it again.

Do you get intense sensations like that when doing sober chakra cleaning? You really have to have some intense energy build up to get such sensations.

Well that's what I was thinking :) that I was just high and it sparked an intense panic attack. It just caught me so off guard. i've always had anxiety but this was...idk. I still feel funny and my I kinda have slight pain in my arms and hands and this nervous energy around my chest that I just can't shake. Probably from being so tensed up.

And I do get intense feelings while doing chakra clearing while sober. Once I even saw some white light when i moved up to the crown chakra. Pot makes you more aware of body sensations so I was relaxed when I started and felt like everything was normal. Once I got to the heart though it just felt like it was going to explode. I never want to feel that again. I won't be smoking for a very long time, yes, but I'm actually a little scared to do a chakra clearing sober now.

I was gonna say it sounds like the first time I got high.. but then you brought up how you were in pain the next day which is unusual. Maybe you collected a insane amount of energy from your chakras. Try doing this a number of times while you are that high again... I have been doing a lot of work and research on religions and drug use (mainly Hinduism and Buddhism.) Try this again and let me know the results, this is completely fascinating to me.

In music if you put too many transformers close together you get feedback which drowns out the wanted signal. Same here. Back off of something.

The first few times I got high, I remember having this insane burning sensation in my chest for the next few days. I remember skateboarding and having a hard time breathing. I thought I gave myself Asthma!

Turns out it was just short term side effects. I just kept doing my do and eventually it subsided. You'll be okay, just keep doing your thang!
