Electric Forest

Anyone here going to Electric Forest in Rothbury, Michigan this summer?

 

oh yea! I can't wait. Finally get to see Girl Talk live :afro:

 

I think I may get tickets for this. Anyone have anything to say about it? Is it more of a rave or a music fest? Lot of hippie folks?

I've planned on going the past two years but couldn't get a solid group together. This year I want to go come hell or high water since I'm moving in August, that means I may have to go solo and hitch a ride or meet someone willing to give me a ride back from there. Anyone have thoughts on that?

 

^go for it, going solo means you will make a lot of new friends.

wow moved to florida from my homestate of MI a couple years ago, never knew we had cool stuff going on up there other than hash-bash,, makes me sad

 

i'm going to be building the stages for this event, and also performing at it n_________n

there were soooo many fucking cops there this year.... as soon as we camped someone next to us got arrested with a big ole bag o weed. knew someone else that was walkin around selling hash, some kids like yeah ill buy some but i gotta go grab my $ from my tent, ran off, then the cops closed in. I was workin it too and i gotta say i was scared to work that fest so many god damn cops. it was prolly needed tho due to the overwhelming amount of bros and douchebags there. cheese was fire, sts9 threw down, got lost in the forest and the forest was sicktits but other then that it wasn't my scene.... def not going again. fuck the bros and ravers they ruined it

did you guys hear about the cops who got dosed?
someone put a vial in a super soaker, and got some state troopers right in the face, i heard.

i also heard, while there, that 3 people died. after i left, i heard the death toll was in the 50's, but they stopped reporting them to the festival attendees. lots of overdoses, i'm sure. people were really in it to get messed up. i met steve aoki. but i still don't really know who that is, or what his music sounds like.

 

^ One death was reported. One is one too many, but a body count in the 50's is rediculous.
