Jesus and Hell.

    A lot of christians have dropped the idea that there is anything like a literal Hell where you'll burn alive for eternity. Nevertheless, Jesus did speak of Hell in Matthew 5:22, and also in Luke. So, what was Jesus referring to?

    It could be a reference to anything really thsats the funny thing about the bible you can interpret it anyway you like

    hell is probably very real - we just choose to deny it.

    Sure, it could be a reference to anything, but if you really believed that, you would have no problem calling me a fool. So, I dare you to call me a fool.

    Given humankind pre-dates the bible by hundreds of thousands of years. Why would the bibles idea of hell be valid. What is your idea of hell?

    I like to think that hell is different for everyone. Not nescisarily a lake of fire, but your own personal corner of hell will be whatever torments you the most.

    I don't know what kind of Hell Jesus believed in, I've never asked him.
