People, I shop at Whole Foods. I do this because I prefer to eat natural foods, and I like their selections. My whine is thus: Why do so many people who shop here act like complete douchebags? Leaving carts in the middle of the aisle, asking 15,000 questions at the pizza area, walking through the whole bloody store as if they own it? I have shopped at many different Whole Foods, and there are always at least a few of these types marauding through the store! Am I alone in this observation?

Whole Foods is full of liberal yuppies, and liberal yuppies tend to be really uptight, selfish assholes. I've never encountered any conservative yuppies, but I'm sure that they are dicks too. I don't go to Whole Foods often, but when I do, my guard is up.
You want 'natural' food just go to a green grocer and buy some fruit and veg Nothing really 'natural' about soy Almond milk at 8$ a litre
I'd rather trade places with donald than shop at whole foods. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlYgYk22Rfc"]YouTube Poop: Donald Duck gets anal raped for 10 minutes - YouTube
A lot of different demographics shop there. They carry yerba mate and have an excellent beer selection, so I have to consider Whole Foods a positive force in the Universe.
Whole Foods has cheap beer and cheap milk. I don't know why just those two things, but they're cheaper than anywhere else in my neighborhood. The sausage isn't bad, either, and they have bison, which I like. Mostly I shop there because it's six blocks from my house.
Thanks for all the replies. A lot of what they sell is overpriced, but a lot of it I can't get where I live. I always thought people who drove Prius, wore Birkenstocks, ate all organic food, "green" everything, were good all around people, trying to save the planet and all. Maybe some of them are good, but most of these people are full of shit and out for themselves. Sorry, like nobody here doesn't know that already!
I used to believe that too. And I think there are quite a few that are really good all around people. Some people care about abstract causes but don't really care about the people around them. This is why someone in a prius will cut you off to get a parking space.
lots of stores have items called loss leaders. they break even or lose money on those items to draw people in, then they get you to spend more on other items.
Well, I hope they keep those two as loss leaders, because those are pretty much the ONLY two items I frequently run to the store for and don't buy anything else!
One other thing Whole Foods has that I don't see a lot at my other local grocery stores is hot, hot, hot people. Seriously, eye-candy abounds! There was a particular owner of a pair of very blue eyes that I had to make myself not stare at tonight.
