American sizes vs. European

What is the difference between american and european clothing sizes. Should I buy an american t-shirt in XL if I use XXL in europe?

 

Try googling conversion charts. Or measure yourself and compare with the american dimensions.

What about paper sizes? A4 or American?

We have our own sizes too. Some shirts will have the American or UK printed on them but most likely not.

A4 A3 etc for paper.

 

I thought A4 was kind of universal What is the standard paper size in the states then??

The problem with sizes is that most clothing companies have their own idea about sizes. So you really need the measurements or to actually try it on.

 

US and Canada use the US Letter size 8.5x11
I hate it. We should be A4 like everyone else.
