"God's word is true. I've come to understand that. All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the Big Bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of hell. And it's lies to try and keep me and all the folks who are taught that, from understanding that they need a savior". Georgia republican senator Paul Broun, who sits on :THE HOUSE COMMITTEE ON SCIENCE,SPACE AND TECHNOLOGY.
Damn. http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/event/apArticle/id/DA1O8L3O2/ So here's that church's website http://libertybc.ws/ministries/sportsmanBanquet.cfm It looks like a hunting club webpage...I thought I had the wrong page.
I have some problems with both the big bang theory , and Genesis. My beliefs are a bit different . I belief in God , but not as a gray haired old man on a mountain , more as energy . This person went to see God while out of body http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/w..._experiences/i_asked_to_see_god-t38258.0.html I have no problems with a church where ever one is armed , as long as there all responsible adults . desert rat
This guy has pissed off Bill Nye now and Huffington Post has picked up the story: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/07/bill-nye-paul-broun-science-space-technology_n_1947125.html
Uh-oh, do not piss off Bill Nye. He will bury you! Bill is a paragon of science and reason. Him and Dr. Dean Edell are two of my media heros.
I thought this was your own confession for a minute, scratcho. "He sits on the House Committee on Science, Space and Technology." Don't they do a background check on these people?
To the o.p. of this thread , the Christain belief is that if a person does not believe in Christ he/she will go to hell . Tell me where that is written in the king James Bible . To my knowledge the closest thing written in the Bible on going to heaven is where Jesus in on the cross and tells the the two theives also nailed to crosses ,they will join him in paradise . desert rat
Have you heard of the theory that the "big bang" WAS God, in that "God" was all there was, a ball of energy longing to express itself? This was written about beautifully in the Conversations with God books, but the idea originated elsewhere (I forget where right now).
I'm not for Romney, but I think that it is unfair to characterize him and this guy as two peas in a pod.
