I'm a vegetarian and also prepare all meals, sauces, bread, cakes etc at home. I don't care about calories because ..... well I just don't .....but then again I'm pretty slim. I do eat quite a lot of food -2 breakfasts, 3 course dinner every day but also eat "small snax". "what the fuck you laughing at my friend?" OK they're small according to me. I like food! I use up a lot of energy
I like eating fruits but i hate chicken and beef, fish is my favourite but my problem is that i eat at anytime i feel like eating
I mostly stick to whole foods... I buy things that look like what they are. I avoid vegetable oils unless they're cold pressed, and cook primarily with fat I've rendered... once a year I get a young pig from a local farmer. I don't eat a lot of beef and won't touch chicken unless it's local free-range chicken or I raise it myself, but I do buy bison once in a while. We eat a lot of fish, fruit, legumes, and whole grains. I have no allergies and no food intolerances, luckily for me.
I used to eat anything that was fast and convenient. Then slowly I've been becoming more conscience of what I put in my mouth and have found I'm feeling much better. After all, you are what you eat!
i can't really afford to eat healthily, and i don't much mind what i eat, but i do watch the ammount that i consume, if not the content.
sex sex and more sex of course! its called the F plan ...may cause a swollen stomach mwhaaa... Sorry couldnt resist ...:2thumbsup:
Eh I tend to eat whatever there is in student restaurants and cafeterias. I would like to change that.
I just baked an apple pie. Resistance is futile. Really, though, I would like to eliminate bread and potatoes from my diet. I eat too much of them.
Is it like this one? http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1191656/finnish-apple-pie Because that one is heavenly. Even I made it once. Sort of.
Since I been cooking as a hobby most of my meals are self processed (and delicious), so very little processed food though processed isn't a dirty word in my kitchen. In other words i tend to stay off the ready made food for the most part but will settle for a corn dog every now and again. I probably eat fast food once or twice a month, i hate calorie dense foods but I work out routinely so calories don't affect the decisions on my diet often.
I eat healthier than I used to, but not as healthy as I should. I really have to watch what I eat because I have chronic heartburn. Just about everything sets it off, but certain foods affect it a lot less. And lately I have this thing about tomato based stuff. I can't get enough, it's crazy. I eat way more potatoes than I probably should and eat fast food way too much (because I'm there 10 hours a day), but I try to go for the slightly healthier things lately. I told myself I'd eat how I liked while I could still enjoy it and now I can't do that, so I have to back off the junk. *sigh*
I think nutrition is massively neglected, esp in the West. You wouldn't inject poisons into your body. So why do people ingest such shit? Many pharmaceuticals only exist because we don't eat propertly. Atleast for younger people.
the number one thing i avoid is partially hydrogenated oils which = trans fat. more recently i learned that mono and diglycerides are made from trans fats, so i don't touch them now either. i don't eat red meat too often. and i tend to stay away from monosodium glutamate, and the two chemicals that seem to be replacing MSG; disodium guanylate and disodium inositate. they are "flavor enhancers" that are structurally similar to neuro chemicals in your brain. i do take mind altering substances; cannabis multiple times dailyl, pretty moderate alcohol, very slight caffeine, and a psychedelic every month or three. but i don't feel that it's worth it to take a mind altering substance so that my doritos taste extra good. edit: i could be wrong about those 2nd two chems being mind altering. but i'm pretty sure that is a fitting description for MSG
I try to eat the best I can, but in saying that I have a family and ya too many breads and potato's rice. I'm not adverse to use a jar of pasta sauce or packets of things to helps my meals. And ya those Golden arches and Pizza things are around. But it's all about moderation I think and portion sizes as well. People just eat too much healthy or not.
