Does anyone plan their day out around being barefoot? I thought today that I might subconsciously do this.
I was having breakfast and planning my day when I caught myself thinking "well I'd better not go to ... for that because they might be a bit sniffy about barefeet, instead I'll go to..."
I can't recall ever thinking this before, but maybe I do!? Does anyone else do the same or has thought the same? Maybe you even go out of your way to shop for an item just so you can visit barefoot?

    It was just a curious thought...anyone? :)

  2. I know a place or two that's sniffy about bare feet, but there's NO substitute for these particular shops, so I don, um (my apologies), footwear, and revert upon exiting. That's why L-I-F-E spelled backwards is (almost) E-V-I-L....

I always try to avoid the smarter cafe & restaurants, it's quite irrational really because I've never been kicked out of one or had anyone complain. I think I'm afraid I'd be out of place and therefore in the position to be singled out.....mind is a curious thing eh?

I do plan a bit, mostly about how the state of my one working foot will look. if I need to go to a mall or supermarket but am also going somewhere that is going to get mud all over my foot I try to do the clean stuff first so I don't piss people off by standing on their clean shop carpet with the remnants of a farm visit between my bare toes!
I did one have to make one stop which I had forgotten in the morning so I ended up having to stop at the bank on my way home with mud all over my foot. I was suffering a bit from the rutches rubbing under my arms so was topless as well. When you are non-weight bearing on crutches it is pretty much impossible to wipe the sole of your good foot without falling over so I just had to ignore the "please remove dirty boots" sign at the door and hobble in.
I apologised to the girl at the counter when my turn came, but she thought it looked really cool to have a muddy bare foot sticking out from under my jeans, and that crutches and shirtless was a great look as well.
