Im just allergic to english music because we get culturally brainwashed by that stuff and nothing comes from our neighbour countries like France or Poland for example.
I don't understand what's so great about this band's music either I'm afraid. Not for the reasons stated above though. I just don't like their sounds. I don't see why we can't share our (somewhat negative perhaps) opinion on this just because we don't like them by the way.
Personally I love this band. My dad was a fan so I grew up hearing him blast Under A Blood Red Sky and The Joshua Tree all the time from the stereos in our house. U2 were actually my first concert, which was awesome. I'd have to say my favorite song of theirs is 'Bad' - the Wide Awake in America version. And I don't understand all the hate this band gets. True, they aren't the Beatles or the Stones, but they were a good rock band in the 80s at a time when most popular music was becoming over-commercialized with the rise of MTV and all that... Great band, in my opinion.
