What is everyone planning on eating for christmas? Are you cooking or going somewhere else & have others cook for you? How many peope will be at your christmas meal?
MY Christmas Day is going to be on Boxing Day this year as I am working (I do night shifts at a hostel for the homeless, and my run of shifts end on Boxing Day morning). The one good thing to come out of it is that 'Christmas' will last longer, and we'll open our presents a day late. That anti-climax thing on the day once all presents are exchanged always gets me. If I can drag it out a bit then I will! My boyfriend is fine with this, as he will be spending THE DAY with his family, seeing as I'll be sleeping away most of it. OUR Christmas dinner will be enjoyed at home, just me and my boyfriend. I'll be cooking turkey, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, carrots, brocolli, cauliflower, pigs-in-blankets, stuffing, bread sauce and gravy. Yum. Nice bottle of champagne on the side too. If we can fit it in after all that, I'll be having Christmas pudding, and he'll have a nice chocolate mousse (he's not a chrimbo-pudding fan).
My family is spread between the west, the midwest and the south. This year, there have been some differences and only five people will be attending Christmas dinner. I am trying to talk my mother into letting me make lasagana.
seeing as I worked in a hospital and 5 of my own kids have gone past the age of 10, guess I'll say yes! Besides what does seeing naked kids/people have to do with christmas dinner? Unless everyone is sitting at the table without clothes on.....OUCH, don't spill the gravy
