Want to travel across my country next year, and thinking of going from here (Ontario) to Calgary and Vancouver. Can anyone give me any advice on traveling? Best way to travel, etc. Car is not an option. Thanks!
take a bus. ya know greyhound, i'm not sure if there is greyhound in canada though. but i traveled across the country by bus twice, and i traveled from MIchigan to FLorida on a greyhound too. be prepared for a long ass ride though trip to FL from MI-1day trip to cali from FL-3days trip from cali back to FL-4 fucking days dude!!
The train may take a bit longer but you will see the most beautiful parts of the country, especially through BC. Otherwise, do Greyhound, it works too.
I have been considering taking the Via west, and the bus east, if I can find the money by next summer after my school is over. I think Greyhound would be a good idea; how boring is it sitting in a a bus for days on end though?
oh yea bus is the only option of car is out. train is as expensive as a Caribbean cruise. A bus tour would also be a nice option. greyhound is expensive compared to local charter buses like red aarow, so do some research first on local small bus companies.
^what she said^ there's nothing like riding a greyhound across the country btw. it is definately an experience
thanks for the answers guys, I will do some research! How much would a Greyhound cost? I went on their website and couldn't find prices.
If you are wanting to travel quickly, Air travel is best, and you can easily find some cheap deals. Via is expensive, but it will take you through some areas that you will never see if you travel by road. If you take the greyhound, you can also take your time in various cities on your way. They have a travel pack which will allow you to take stop overs in whatever city they provide service to.
