Wtf is going on? SWIM (I hate using that term but I'm not saying names or relation) gets bubbles in her syringe when pulling back on plunger trying to register the vein. She gets blood but bubbles too. Lol her veins full of air or is she doin it wrong? She is hitting the vein, gettin all her dope in correctly. Just confused about the bubbles.

Maybe pull the plunger back slower. But if you get blood and it all goes in then a little air will not hurt you..

cheap syringe or pulling too hard and it getting by the plunger would be my guess

she'd be dead if there was air in her veins

I wouldnt be worried about the air to much .. its no big deal, air will not kill you.. But I think I went thru this yesterday whatever you're shooting up, will kill you..

You might be better off shooting air tbh..

Haha. I know, It was a joke. I was just perplexed. I have never shot up, I think it's retarded but watching her register the vein and blood shoot into the syringe along with bubbles was very strange. I know nothing about shooting up.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I was just curious.

I agree, especially when a filter needle clogs up before you even get half of your dope into the syringe. Just goes to show you how much trash you are putting in your veins. *shudders*

"whatever you're shooting up, will kill you"... that is NONSENSE! Everyone who shoots up has a reason. Some may be "quote on quote" bad or reckless or damaging to themselves and others, but some may be medical, i.e. people with severe chronic pain who cannot get relief from oral meds. Some people may wish to shoot up recreationally, safely, and in great moderation, and unless they happen to be shooting up random household cleaners, or have no idea what they are doing or how little they should take, or they bought street drugs and got a bad (lethal) bag, which is not likely since that would be seriously bad business on the dealer's end, then "whatever" they are shooting up will in all likelihood NOT EVER kill them. Now, if they don't know what they are taking, how much to take -- to start out with a tiny amount and figure out a tolerance level -- and they don't make any attempt to find information about how to identify drugs and shoot up (readily available online and elsewhere, SWIM has seen many instructional brochures from related non-profit orgs), and then they by chance happen to die, then it wasn't the drugs that killed, it was the person.

I understand being against something, especially when a person has had bad experiences or known people who suffered from addiction, but to make broad, definitive statements like that are not constructive or helpful, but seem to be said for no other reason other than to shame and exaggerate and scare. No one can know the reasons why others do what they do, and no one should assume that what others do is for no good reason.

This has happened to me. What I did was flush the plunger without pushing it back in all the way with the blood and bubbles. Might have lost a little dope but better safe than sorry.
