i wasnt very sure where to post this, so i thought id put it here. I wanna get me belly button peirced but lotsa people tell me not to cos it hurts or it gets infected or for some reason or another. whaddya think guyz?
a lot of peircings and tattoos hurt when you first get them my naval was tender for awhile, but i was careful and kept it cleaned. no problems and i've had it a few years. if you get somethign done, get it because you want it, not because someone else think it would be a great idea to do to your body. keep smiling.
My friend got hers done today and she said they put some numbing gel on before they did it and it didn't hurt much more than when she had her ears done. Just make sure you get it done at a decent place and keep it clean.
hehhee i had my belly button pierced when i was 13 years old in the back upstairs room of a guys house in london...he called himself the gentle geordie, got me to sign a form saying i was 16 even though i told him i wasnt and then PUT ME TO SLEEP!! hahahahaha i woke up with a bandaged middle and agny for at leat a month... DONT FOLLOW THIS EXAMPLE!! anyways my body rejected the metal and three years late the piercing had grown out so much that you could see the metal throught the skin so i had to take it out. this isnt cos of the dodgy piercing this actually happens to alot of people... i had my belly button pierced again 2 months ago but this time i had the bottom done instead becuase i was worried it would hurt alot more to pierce throught the scare tissue of my old piercing... i had it pierced in a proper reputable clinic by a lovely guy...they didnt use numbing gel...some places dont and it bloomin hurt !! but mainly cos when he stuck the spike in to pierce it it wouldnt go all the way through so he had to try again...he said i had skin like a rhinocerous hahaha and that i could take a bullet! so yeh in other wrds...it absolouetely killed...but not unberable and the pain lasted just for that day reallly..it was still sore for a week or sore but as long as you clean it regulary and dont tuch it with dirty ahnds itll be fine...and they do look gorgeous...i have loads and loads of belly rings, like twister ones...if you wanted any? like i actaully have too many to wear its ridiculous.. have fun!! love luchi xxx
omfg! gentle geordie now lives in tunbridge wells, he has obviously moved cos my friend got here nose peirced there in the back room of his house and it wetn very very manky! i think we shud bring gentle geordie to justice and get him back for all the dodgy peircings he has given people! lolz what an asshole! sorry to hear bout ur bellybutton tho! but im now even more encouaged to get it done so afta xmas wen i got some munny im gonna get it done! xxxx thanks you guys! xxxx
don't do it!! i got mine done at a good reputed place and it never hurt that much at the time but even though it never got infected it hurt for almost a year afterwards as i never let it dry out-i like my baths and they don't mix with a newly peirced navel. so if you are content only haviong showers for a long time then go for it. im not saying that this will happen to everyone but it can happen so do consider all the possiblilities before you go and do it. now mine is great and im happy with it, but i couldn't even hug anyone it was that tender, and that was even without an infection!! be careful love and hugs namaste x x x
gentle geordie is so wrong!! hahahahaha very dodgy ive never met him but alot of my friends have and to be honest i would never get myself peirced in some random guys back room!hehe! xxxxxxx
I've never seen an infected piercing as it goes. And my friends in college were all metal or wannabe metalheads with at least two piercings each! Some done in some very dodgy locations, including pub toilets with the old ice and cork, and a needle used so many times it was blunt! So as long as you go to someone who at least uses sterile needles (not always ID asking joints) and you take the proper care afterwards, infection wise you should be safe. This comfort thing doesn't sound too nice though. My belly button feels dodgy just reading about it, so I'd think about wether you want to go through all that and if it'll be worth it for ya.
my flo has her belly done top and bottom and then she has two crossing surface piercings underneath her navel and it looks ace!! shes a piercing queen and compared to the thers shes has done said belly was not painful at all in comparison..it killed me but then its my only piercing so i ahve nothing to compare to...
