Men....

The other day I was having coffee with 3 other lesbians. Our conversation was very quiet because we were venting about how some people don't understand lesbians. Some guy that had to be eavesdropping says "well i don't think there is a such thing as a lesbian. How can you say you are one if you have never had sex with a man? You might actually like it." I got pissed and said "Have you ever had sex with a man? How do you know you might not like?" He got mad and called me a man hating,bitch and said tha no man would want to be with me anyway. I was already in a foul mood so I was read to kick his ass, before my friends dragged me away.

My question is, How would you have handled that situation?

 

personally I would have probably started crying (I am weak I'm sorry) my partner on the other hand would have had to be dragged out before she killed him.

I like your answer to his initial question. His response was a prime example of how homophobic men like that are, also you clearly stumped him so he resorted to insulting you.

I have a lot of straight male friends and none of them are like this. Some guys don't get it and never will, but some of the worst comments I've gotten have come from straight women.

 

I think the problem here is that he was a bigot, rather than than he was a man as such.

Men like the ones described in the OP deserve to have lesbians be mad at them. In fact, people who aren't lesbians who have more than half a mind should be mad at them as well.
