i was at my parents' house earlier today and my dad was watching a show (outer limits, i think) where those things were going in people's noses and turning them into zombies.

I believe it's a leopard slug - Limax maximus (literally, "great slug").

Mr. Sluggo is Mr. Bill's arch enemy.

    Hello,

yepp, but the best thing is the sauce, anyway. Just dip your baguette into the garlic flavoured deliciousness and let Mr Snail roam away, playing in the woods with Mr. Sluggo ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

I've only had them once or twice, wasn't impressed.
My father is a huge fan though.

    Hello,

I'm not a fan either. With the french border only a stone's throw away you can find them as appetizers in the better local restaurants. I prefer pate as appetizer.

    Regards
    Gyro
