I don't get cheating in a relationship. I really don't. Maybe that's because I'm not a cheater. LOL. Anyways. What I really don't understand is how it's okay for one partner to do it, but this horrible crime when the other does it. For example, I read an article where the author interviewed like four or five men who had all cheated. One of the men cheated solely because his wife had been cheating. He wanted to even it up a bit. I know that two wrongs don't make a right, but I could understand that. I guess his wife had been cheating on him (with one man or more, I don't remember..but it definitely happened more than once) and he found out, so he got together with another girl. It was a one time thing and he told her face-to-face what he had done after the fact. He didn't try to hide it or lie. But this is what I couldn't understand: he told her and she was just SO hurt by what he had done that she felt like they needed to take a two week break. So it was fine for her to do it and he was just supposed to forgive her and move on like it never happened, but God forbid she get a taste of her own medicine? Bitch please. Does anyone get this?
Very early on in a relationship here I realized that she was seeing other men. She'd always deny it and it pissed me off that she felt she needed to lie about it....because I really didn't give a rat's ass. I was running with other women too.....what's good for the goose is good for the gander. When she finally realized she didn't need to hide her activities, things settled down nicely for us and we're really in a groove. She shares her adventures with me and I love the action.
I would post a link, but I didn't recently read the article. It's been a few months since I've read it. I just randomly started thinking about it again. I don't remember how I came across it. It may have been through Yahoo. The other men's stories in the article weren't really related to the topic, though. I posted the related story, but I can understand what you're saying. Sorry I don't have a link to the article. Well that's great that it works for you, but it's different when the person cheating is in a relationship with someone who expects fidelity and respect. But to each his own, eh?
