So, I'm really really really itching to try shrooms. I've been dealing with a lot spiritually, particularly with loved ones/patients dying, reflecting on my own death, etc and just really need some psychedelic guidance on how to come to terms with all of it. The only psychedelic I have any experience with is HBWS. The first time I took them I had a revelation that enabled me to overcome a serious hang up I had at the time, but since then my experiences have been less monumentous and more loopy/holycrapmystomachisgoingthroughameatgrinder feeling. I'm attracted to shrooms for a lot of reasons, and think they'd make the best fit for me. I'm not really attracted by the thought of acid, plus I don't hang around the druggie/psychedelic crowd and really can't see myself getting my hands on any anytime soon. I plan on getting spores online and growing them myself, since I feel like that'll give me time to prepare and develop a respectful relationship with the fungi. So....my main question, for those who've done both LSA and shrooms, how does the nausea compare? I know people puke with shrooms, but with LSA I found it was more physically painful than just straight nausea. My first trip the nausea went away in like an hour but I didn't have much luck after that first time. I can handle some nausea, I just want to know that it does go away and won't last the whole trip. Also, has anyone ever seen dead people/relatives while tripping on shrooms (and had it be a positive experience)? I've heard of igobane from west africa is specifically known for getting in touch with spirits, and I've love to try it someday, but for now I'm sticking with shrooms. It's not that I necessarily have to see anyone in particular, and I know you can't go into a trip demanding answers to specific questions, I just thought that would be awesome.
Shroom tummy is shit-all compared to HBWR Most I've ever got was some grumbling and the sensation of something being a bit heavy in my stomach, as opposed to "Oh fuck this hurts like shit.. I need to go make myself throw up" kinda thing. The trip itself is very different too, a LOT more visual and very loopy. I'd say more enjoyable overall, but the "reward factor" is obviously up to you, though. Never met or made contact with any dead people or relatives, but have contemplated relationships with them prior to their death, and the circumstances of their death, which has helped me move on. That's about as close as my experience gets.. but I have heard of high dose reports(above 5g) where people have "met" ancestors and felt the life force of long extinct animals/creatures pulsing through them. That's a lot of shrooms, though
I'm glad you posted this thread because I'm about to explore HBWR seeds within the following week(s) although your responses are not making me thrilled about the nausea. Shrooms make me nauseous for the first hour or so but then it subsides, it is the only psychedelic ive puked on though, not including mixing drugs. Unlike some of the reports I've read about HBWR, the nausea element with shrooms doesn't feel like it detracts from the trip in any way. I read San Pedro cacti nausea was pretty terrible prior to exploring that and found that to produce minimal nausea so I'm going for a similar reaction with HBWR but my intuition is telling me to have a nausea aid prepared for this trip. Never seen dead ancestors although I have seen amorphous faces pop out of a wall and often feel like the shrooms are communicating to me in someway on a strong dose.
I tripped on HBWR yesterday. I had some ginger beer which helps alleviate nausea and I must say I experienced pratically no nausea from HBWR, I'm thinking some of it was the ginger beer and some of it my personal response. I also didn't have any stomach cramp or reaction, I fasted prior to the trip. The only negative physical effect which was apparent for me was the vasoconstriction, I'd feel my muscles tighten up at moments at a time and along with the duration of the trip it had me feeling pretty weary by the end of it, I also walked quite a bit which may have added to that. So as far as nausea is concerned, I feel shrooms may be slightly worse after one trip with HBWR especially given the nature of the trip but I've never taken ginger beer or any nausea suppresant with shrooms, however shrooms don't produce as significant muscle tension.
The LSA nausea felt like my innards were boiling in acid. Shrooms were kind of nauseous but nowhere near the times I took morning glories. With morning glories it's like "god I feel like I've been poisoned." With shrooms it's more like "lol im all gurglz"
