Why do all these threads name a book, but never give an idea what its about? Isn't that kind of important info?

    Hmmm very good point.
Perhaps it's meant to intrigue you into looking up info on the book yourself.

So yes, Stargirl. Never read it but it does seen intresting. Might get it out of the libary or something. Just out of curiosity.

I love that book! Stargirl is my idol, heehee :)

Jerry Spinelli writes great books, I read one book (something like "McGee something something") like 23345634 times in elementary school. Yay for kid's books!!

I got this book sometime when I was in middle schol. I thought it was a great book :) One of the books that after I read it I thought, damn this should be a movie.
Hmm Another good book is "Speak." I don't remember who it is by, but it is also about a teenage girl.

I remember we all had to read Stargirl years ago for class. I only vaguely remember it, but I know I was the only one in my class who enjoyed reading it. Everyone said I reminded them of Stargirl but I don't think I am or was nearly that odd...

Was Maniac Mcgee the one about segregation or am I thinking of something else entirely?
