I'm surprised nobody has checked into this..

We could have a tiny black hole eating the earth right now due to this collider ...

So... How come this hasn't been in the news lately.. It was all abuzz, and then all of a sudden there is no news whatsoever on it...

What is CERN hiding? What DID they do??

Maybe CERN created a black hole that swallowed up those pesky journalists who were trying to report what they were doing. Those people are geniuses!

Our future health, happiness and economic well-being depends on producing plentiful, inexpensive, carbon-free energy that is available 24 hours/day, worldwide. Coal, oil and gas supply over 80% of the world's energy but cause pollution and add to global warming. Renewable energy, such as wind and solar, may not be able to supply enough energy. Ed Moses and the National Ignition Facility have an idea that could change everything-fusion energy-unlocking the force inside the nucleus of hydrogen that powers the sun and the stars. Learn what it will take for fusion power to become a reality in the next few decades. Series:

Damn, lets make more of these holes.

I was thinking one for lawyers and politicians....

But it seems odd that the last big announcement from CERN was a few years ago? Or am I wrong in that?

There's no such thing as tiny black holes. There are zillions of colliding particles in the sun and it doesn't have enough energy to create a black hole. We'd need more energy than many times the mass of our solar system to start swallowing lightspeed particles.

That's what the fears were yes, there is even a countdown to a mini black hole eating the earth.. It's a creepy site with a countdown clock...

LOL... I'm not the only one with the question though it seems:

    and

Although, not sure if I buy the official story.. uneventful research... OK... :afro:

I have a question. If, the Big Bang originated from something infinitesimally small, then how are they creating mini big bangs in this collider, without also having something infinitesimally small, who is bull shitting who?

I believe it fell out of the news because Stephen Hawking told everybody that they were being idiots over this.

No offense to Hawking, but just because he says that black holes collapse in on themselves and essentially "evaporate" where does the matter go? It has to go somewhere... It doesn't just collapse and go into nothing...

HA, never answered that part of the theory did you....

Oh Snap! Someone on the internet thinks they got physics all figured out.
    Guess you got me. :ears:

I am sure this is being discussed on forums that discuss high energy phyics. You might do a search for some , if I find any discussions I will post them . desert rat

Collapsing stars and black holes emit massive amounts of gamma radiation from their poles. Enough energy that a beam of gamma radiation could vaporize an entire solar system.

"a typical burst releases as much energy in a few seconds as the Sun will in its entire 10-billion-year lifetime"

There ya go... So if they were making mini black holes, we would have mini gamma ray bursts...

I wonder why they left that particular tidbit out of the report that "even if they make small black holes, they will dissipate as fast as they are created" speech....

Only a very large star will colapse in to a black hole , ones the size of our sum will just run out of fule and die . I think its only pulsars that put out large amounts of gama rays . desert rat

Meh... Either way... Someone mentioned something about "BLAZAR" coming... Whatever the hell that is...

Some star pumping our solar system full of the fun stuff supposedly...

Another theory was that if these black holes implode in on themselves, they could create a mini big bang, and we'd have mini universes floating around.. But wait.. Universes are infinite.. So... Whaaa?

Thats also a theory. Maybe they aren't.

True... it hasn't been proven that the universe is finite or infinite yet...

LOL that just gave me an awesome image... The probes we sent out one day just going bump.... bump.... bump... against the end of the universe...

But then... What would be on the other side of that? Another universe? :afro:

What if our universe is only a single atom? And every other atom is another universe?
