I was just wondering why it seems like LSD does not come around. Is it my area? Is it because I do not know the right people? Do they not make LSD in the quantities they used to, and if not it because there is not the profit margin there used to be etc etc. I would just like some speculation. It has probably been about 3 to 4 years since I have been offered and before that time it had been awhile too. It is just crazy something as awesome as LSD is widely available
Yeah, pretty much. Especially the first one. It's still around, you just have to know the right people, which can be pretty tough.
Well, I said this on another thread as well, but I can assure you that LSD is still available and still in decent quantity's. LSD tends to reach every corner of the world eventually. Is it being tossed around like it was in the 60's? absolutely not, but we already knew that. To be blunt, no ones going to offer you LSD anymore unless you pester or you just happen to pick out the right guy from the crowd. anyone whose offering is generally just trying to get rid of an RC or some bad stuff. That's usually the case. Honestly, the only places it's common to see acid rolling along the hills is in Northwestern U.S or Northern Europe/ Netherlands. Any who good luck on your journey finding some!
Canada has a lot of awesome these days, alpha centauri hu-nah-ku mayan calenders, it's out there if you know where to look.
IMO it's a little bit of all these reasons. People are afraid of LSD in a way that they were not in the hippie days. I have even known people who would take mushrooms but would not take LSD because they thought it was dangerous. It's not a drug to just get you high and feel good. It has the ability to do more, and people just want to be high and feel good today. But there is still profit to be made. For example Leonard pickard was a millionaire, and I believe he was selling his doses for penny's each. Of course he sold billions of them. But it only takes one or a few big guys like that and the market is saturated. Are there smaller guys who only make it for a certain circle? Maybe, these sort of people tend not to be caught. It's possible those who cook it now do it because they believe the power of LSD, and don't care as much for profit. But that may be a romantic notion we users place upon them. I do think it is made in large batches every so often. I have not been there so it's just a logical guess. But in one batch you could have billions of doses, you really would not need to do it again for a while I would think. But if you know the right people it is still around.
This. The latest big batch going around now are the bicycle Hoffman's, it's literally everywhere if you look around, clearly being layed by some chemist way out there. The thing about LSD nowadays is that there almost no one left in the family, if there is even anyone left, still producing. once Brotherhood disbanded in '72 that was kinda it for large scale production, with much time and effort put into it. Back in the day 100 grams in a jar wasn't very rare to close family men. I think the final straw was when Pickard was locked up. Kinda ended the roots of the substance. I mean there is still cookers out there in far corners of the world, but there isn't love anymore in the creation of it. Most are in it for profit now, like unfocusedanakin said. The market isn't the same either. Other than Phish, what other jam band(s) that resemble(s) the love and connectedness of the Grateful Dead is touring? I mean you read the stories from BoEL, and Grateful Dead parking lots were basically their market place, their kingdom. I mean it's fun (I think so) to trip at certain EDM type concerts, but not many people catch on to this idea. Molly is the new acid it seems. that's my 2 cents
Primus. Les Claypool did an interview before their current 3D tour, stating that only the 'heads' will get it and that they want to bring back acid rock. There may not be a marketplace as such at the shows, but you can meet some contacts for sure.
Like an earlier poster said the brotherhood Broke up and the "love" that went with the scen slowly faded. Now you pretty much have to be in the perfect circles to have any kind of a steady contact. Imo there is much easier and MUCH, Much, more profitable substances to create if you have the skills and desire. An lsd cook these days must have a passion for the potion. Its not that there is no money in it. Its more to do with what's the chemists contacts are looking to sell/want and that what the make. Supply the demand I guess.
let's not call them lsd cooks. if someone synthesizes lsd, they are a chemist there are meth cooks....LSD chemists
@ porkstock jumpin'inthebandwagon.jpg ^me I actually really wish I could be a chemist I feel like if i was to learn how to make certain drugs, I would die pretty happy. there is only so many people in the world who figured out how to chemically produce such drugs
Acid is fuckin' hard to make though man. Even bachelor's degree holders fuck it up pretty easily. You at least need a master's degree in organic chemistry and a professional lab to do it.
I read an article interviewing Owsley Stanley, the man who fueled underground LSD production in the 60's and in the article he refused to be labelled as a chemist as he said he didn't understand many aspects of the LSD molecule and what not , he simply gathered a recipe from a journal or something and followed the steps to make it. He actually made meth as well I believe tho. I'm all for euphemistic language to separate psychedelic language from harder drugs but that aspect of the article stood out to me.
hmm, interesting. but the word "cook" has negative connotations, for me when it's referring to cooking drugs, not food.
That is pretty wild. Once you've experienced a great trip one can almost fully be put back in that place in certain times. Like today, I got off work which I spend inside an air conditioned building with not much natural lighting. And most times full of unnatural or superficial people. As soon as I stepped outside and In took the natural environment I was filled with great feelings and comfort. On my drive home I felt many things were against me. For example I was very low on gas and drivers on the road were being pretty aggressive. When I focused on the sky which was a sinking beauty of orange followed by an Awsome bright navy night...my worries were slowly melting away and colors became very alive. Once I was home and the night had settled in, I was greeted by a very charming moon that sat real low and fluorescent. I couldn't go inside it was much too perfect to leave. So I was starring up and it knew I was acknowledging her beauty. It even gave me a light show and a dance. It was an excellent time. And I felt a connection and even received messages through the sounds that stirred. It would be a great night to trip...
my friend acquired a whole sheet of LSD once.. haha, haven't had any since. because it is just so hard to find, mushrooms are a lot easier to find where I am.
I heard that too, only what I heard was little bit different. Like apparently Owsley just walked into library before it became illegal and just read up on how to make it from a book. Pretty fuckin' wild if you ask me. I have a feeling Owsley wasn't the only maker who didn't understand LSD's complexion. I mean the chemical is hard enough as it is to make. Still, maybe someday on my own time I'll at least figure out it's binding.
