My comment from facebook: What is probably most sad about extreme hatred directed toward Obama's second win by citizens opposed to him is that it is incited by those who should know better. People like Mr-you-deserve-rape-Todd Akin and Cannot-keep-his-mouth-shut-Donald Trump who should be role models but instead are fueling anti-Obama idiocy as though America is a completely uncivilized nation chocked full of an uncivilized species. It is no wonder that the very phrase "I don't want to live on this planet anymore" stems from the witnessed behavior of those who are on the far right. As long as they continue to adhere to their outdated way of thinking, they will continue to lose.
I agree and disagree. Donald Trump and Todd Akin are idiots who talk before they think, and they give republicans and Americans a bad name. But in another topic I posted the political spectrum. Less government = More freedom. So I sit pretty right on the political spectrum without all the rhetoric.

Well it's not so black and white. The left is more government, right is more freedom. Republicans are supposed to believe in less government, but their views have been skewed in this country over time. Liberals do fall to the left they believe in government mandated everything and bigger government. That doesn't make you a communist either. But Liberal falls just on the side of big government.

Sure you do. You just don't realize it. The thing is, not everyone who dislikes Obama is automatically for the "other side." Some people have woken up to the fact that, quite simply, IT'S ALL BULLSHIT!!
Libertarians believe in the truest of freedoms, the freedom to die in abject poverty from lack of health care after working 13 hour days for $3.40 an hour. They also believe in the freedom to be giant manchildren who think government is terrible and they shouldn't have to pay taxes after they've simultaneously reaped all the benefits of said government. In large part this stems from the fact demographically they're usually younger, middle to upper middle class white males, i.e. the privileged members of society, the ones who are least likely to need direct government help, but of course, still reap the benefits of all the indirect things from public funding from medical research to guaranteed snow removal to the fact from before birth their entry into the world is medically protected by evil government mandates to the fact rivers no longer catch on fire or gasoline has lead in it, to the schools that educated them, to the protections they currently enjoy at work to this damn internet who no one in the private industry took seriously at first because they thought it was a toy for scientists and the military. Does it sound like I'm angry? Well yes. Probably angry at myself because way back in 2007 I bought into the first Ron Paul wave and Libertarianism in general.(For the record, Ron Paul is not a libertarian). Thankfully I grew out of that real damn quick, but it still irks me. Not so much it's casual supporters. Libertarianism wraps itself in a sexy flag, as the purest form of freedom. Libertarianism makes perfect sense.....................if you don't put any critical thought into it and actually check your privilege, whether it's your socio-economic status, or the privilege of enjoying all the protections and services libertarianism did not bring to you. The true believers though are extremely annoying. I mean this is true for anywhere on the political spectrum, except most politics are not an extreme form of "fuck you, got mine" that manages to draw people in under the guise of ultimate freedom from a tyranny that usually doesn't even exist, a tyranny that usually comes down to not wanting to be adults and pay your god damn taxes. This is libertarianism in its purest form of freedom
The right doesn't want freedom, they want to control women, their vagina's, and force them to have kids, and pay them less than men for the same job. The right wants all American workers to get paid Chinese wages, that's slavery. The right wants a monster war machine to control the whole world, like Hitler. The right wants corporations to control America, that's less freedom. The right wants less education, that's less freedom and more dumb. And these are all fascist ideologies us LIBERALS are fighting against, to keep our freedom.

Less education on the federal level doesn't make the people "dumb." If anything this top-down education system we currently have is meant to corrupt children's minds. I don't want to "end education," I want the state governments to take care of that. Everything you said of the "right" is not true about Libertarians, and only a stereotype of the republican party!!!
