Why wouldn't it be possible,if you really intended to? Hit the back country, set up as you wish and live without interferance. Possibility?
It seems viable to me. But- it isn't possible. One must fill out their tax paper work, and abide with certain laws even if you don't believe in them. (Non violent drug use.) So, you can't really "run" from the government. Even if you ex-patriot the IRS could steal everything you make the rest of your life!
you really can't take the thumbs personally. i've seen a lot of random thumbing on the forums. what concerns me is that you actually seem to think that a politician openly saying he will do something means that he will do that thing.
When did I say that? Half the time, Romney won't even admit that he said something a month ago, even when he knows people have it on video tape.
But when Obama lies, which he does constantly, you won't call him out for it. Like most Americans, you are brainwashed by partisan politics and MUST take a side, instead of realizing the whole system is corrupt and controlled by big money interests, and that it matters fuck all which party is in office. Obama is a corporate stooge just like Romney. Get that through your head.
I also like Libraries, and the Post Office (which the pigs are itching to privatize). I also think a FDA is good if it did what it was supposed to do. Also, appointing someone to run the FDA that was a big shot at Monsanto...probably not a good idea (thanks Obama). Medicare for all SINGLE PAYER sounds great too. Maybe one day. Maybe one day we will not be so selfish to not ALL agree that health care is a Human Right and citizens will be more important than corporate interests.
This has already been agreed upon by every other nation aside from America because we're really good at breeding sociopaths and/or idiots.
The thing is, THEY have made healthcare so unaffordable for so many people, in order to bring us to the conclusion that the only answer is government and to become more like Europe.
Indeed, we should be more like Europe Truly though, our out of control health care costs can't possibly have anything to do with private insurance companies who had to be mandated to actually have to spend at least 80% of their revenue on actual patient care because 20% profit margins on human suffering just wasn't enough. Hmmm, America has by far the most free market approach to health care in the world while simultaneously having a health care system that eats up so much of the GDP it should be considered a national security concern. It's almost like health care is a non elastic good that doesn't respond to normal market forces due to its expenses, constraints in how it can be supplied and the lack of any power recipients have over plan holders due to the fact people are desperate for health care. ~but the free market will solve everything~
After three years, you still can't get it through your head that I don't respect you or any of your views. I'll bet everybody else reading this gets it.
the supreme court doesn't act on the rule of law, only on the rule of the side which put them into power. quote by Lord Acton: "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." and by William Pitt the Elder "Unlimited power is apt to corrupt the minds of those who possess it"
Sure, that's all fine and dandy if you just like ignore actual reality and the history of the court and how justices vote.
I fear that if Romney had been elected that women's right to control of her body could have been compromised among other women's issues, such as, equal pay for equal work (we aren't there yet but with Obama there is hope). One the most important things that the president has power over is the selection of supreme court judge selection and we have many judges that are reaching the end of their careers. It is very important to me that judges get selected that will be in favor of continuing Roe vs Wade (the right to legal abortion). So, yes, I'm very happy that President Obama has another 4 years and hopefully the chance to see more liberal judges put on the Supreme Court.
