    Hi everyone,
for our school in the Netherlands we are working on a project about hippies. We would like to know a couple of things:

1.How did you became a Hippie?
2.What does it mean to you to be a Hippie?
3.Do you notice any difference between you and the society?
4.Do Hippies have their own language/words?
5.How can you recognise a Hippie?
6.What does a normal day look like?
7.Do you feel like people judge you (because of your appearance and lifestyle)?
8.Is there anything else that you think we need to know?
We would be really happy if you could answer these questions for us

Being very old now, the answers to your questions would related more to my youth than my present status.

    1. We considered ourselves Freaks, as in the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. We didn't become, it just happened.
    2. Good question, I'll let you know when I figure it out. Something about living in the present and being honest.
    3. Yes. Society is insane, but doesn't know it. We are also quite insane, but realize it and try to use it to some advantage.
    4. Like, I used to, man. But don't no mo.
    5. You can't. Never could except by their actions. Some had long hair, some didn't. Although the lack of personal vanity could be a give away.
    6. It's very different now than the late 60's, early 70's, the world has changed, and so have I. It's very normal now. Insanity ran a muck back then.
    7. Always have. That's why people wear suits and ties and such.
    8. Sure, tons of stuff. But you need to look within.
