This is one of those objects that I just had to carry around with me after welding it together. It's obviously a little cumbersome to tote around, but at the same time, it isn't. It's kind of funny in that respect. This one reminds me of an anti-ship mine. Hence, the title. Anyhow, it measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". I would have posted photos directly in this thread, but for some reason I can't open Photbucket from my house these days. Here we go. Now you can see the pics directly http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/album.php?albumid=10801&pictureid=89733 http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/album.php?albumid=10801&pictureid=89732
A really unique looking sculpture there. I like the form. Is it solid? It must be rather heavy. I ditched photobucket a long time ago for Flickr. I got tired of having issues with bandwidth and the threat of account deletion for inactivity.
Actually, it's hollow. It's made from six discs, 31/2" dia x 5/16" thick, if I remember right. The arms are short lengths of schedule 40 steel pipe that are plugged with slugs from one of the presses where I work. It probably wiechs about five pounds.
Ha ha! Not at all! Everything has been ground smooth. I still have a couple of spots the need a little work. Thanks for the props though.
