I was raised with the belief in reincarnation. I was raised with Eastern Religion. I was born in India. However, later in life I became a Christian and learned that, not only does the bible say that, "It is appointed for a man to live once, and after that the judgement, " but that Jesus would not have had to suffer and die if reincarnation were a fact.

This is from a great book entitled, "There is No Death" by Sarah LaNelle Menet. She had a near death experience. She was also taught many things during her experience. This is one of those things. She saw spirits who were fully mature and who knew her when she was heaven. However, these spirits had not yet come to earth to live. This is what she says and I have read similar things in other books written by people who have had NDE's.

"Reincarnation has to do with the life we had before we came to earth and that fact that everything we experience is recorded in our "spiritual DNA." I have often used the term spiritual DNA as a label for how and where it is recorded in our spirit-selves because I do not know how else to describe this remarkable process of complete retention of information.

Before we came to earth we had formed close relationships and friendships with each other as spirits. We wanted to continue our friendships and come to earth at the same time so we could experience life together. Occasionally, however, this was not possible, and a loved one came to earth ahead of us. When this happened, we could at times receive permission to accompany them to earth as a guardian angel. In this way we were able to be with them and assist them through out their lives. We could also then closely observe the experience of their mortal lives and gain a better idea of what earth life would be like for us in the future. I have an example that I use often to help explain how this works. Suppose one of my very closest friends in the spirit world came to earth a hundred years before I did, and I received permission to come and be one of her guardian angels. I was constantly by her side, heard what she heard, witnessed her experiences, and felt what she felt. In a way, I was living her life with her. I was present at her birth and saw her as a little girls when she fell out of a tree and broke her arm. I was there with her when she married her sweetheart and watched with her as he went off to the Civil War. I was by her side as she nursed him back to health after he had been wounded and watched with love and compassion as years later she buried him and a baby at the same time. A hundred years later I am living on earth having my own experiences and by coincidence one day I am drawn to visit a house in the South, the very same house that my dear friend lived in. The house seems familiar and I can tell bits and pieces about the lady who lived in the house. I am able to tell about her birth, family, husband, and events of her life. I can tell so much that I have the feeling that I might have actually been her, and that I lived before, and now have been reincarnated in my present life. In actuality, I am only remembering my friend's life events because I had been by her side experiencing them as a spirit. We only get one chance at living mortality. Again, there is no such thing as reincarnation. It is simple remembrance of shared experiences of someone else's life that have been recorded in our spiritual DNA"

    Hey Maelstrom -

Only people who never read the bible advocate NOT reading it. You must be into some really perverted shit if you are posting great big signs along with your name telling people NOT to read the bible. Jesus taught many beautiful things and His TRUE followers are trying to follow His teachings in order to make their lives and others better. Why does this bother you? Isn't it because your perverted life style and habits are in direct contrast to the teachings of Jesus? Of course it is, otherwise you wouldn't running a huge advertisement every where you post saying, "DON'T THINK THE WAY THE BIBLE TEACHES YOU TO." I only hope you don't live anywhere near me or my children.

Not true. Many people advocate not living according to the bible because they HAVE read it.

Some think that reincarnation was taken out of the Bible at the councile of Nicea in 329 at the request of Constine . Some think Jesus was refering to reincarnation when he said you must be born again , you must reenter as spirit in to your moms belly( I dont remember the exact Bible passage ) . Jesus was said to have come in the spirit of Elija , he was him in a past life . As with a lot of the Bible it can be interepted in many different ways . desert rat

For the record . I am not gay , would never tell any one what book to read or not read . The Torah is the first 5 books of the King James Bible . I am open minded . I dont use drugs , other than beer and caffeine , but some on this forum do . On living a Biblical life , I dont covet my neghbors ass , as we are told not to do . ( thou shalt not covet thy neghbors ass ) But if any one hear wants to covet there neghbors ass , thats up to them . Lust and greed are 2 of the 7 deadly sins . desert rat
