Remember when TV would sign off the air

    I'm not sure if I forgot how to read or something but I could barely understand anything you said. If turning off the tv was something that didn't make this person freak the fuck out, I'd have it off most of the time.

    I was kidding about the Elvis part , he was know for shooting his t.v. On the song "57 ch. and nothing on " a guy is so un happy with what is on his t.v. he shoots it . When your room mate is not home pull out the t.v.s plug and put a small pice of plastic on one prong so it dont get power tell him/her that it quite . desert rat

    There are some other things like unhooking the antenna , or pulling out the center wire out of the coax . Your room mate may figure out what you have done and get mad , but you have not hurt the t.v. desert rat

    In the late 70s, the local Fox channel in Wash., DC (then WTTG), used to sign off w/ clips from the moon landings, accompanied by America's "Lonely People." I thought that was original.

    I remember Bruce Springsteen's 57 channels.

    Where I grew up, stations had a circular test pattern in black and white.

    Now, I know I'm up too late when infomercials take over.

    Then again, there are all shopping channels that we PAY FOR.
