It's pretty easy to acquire shrooms where I live, from late aughust to late october I just go out to this cemetary I know of and pick them. So that's what I did and later that night I ate around 50 of the little buggahs. 1 hour later I'm trippin balls and it's a good trip too so I think to myself "I'm so high right now why not just get even more high?" so I smoke joint. About 10 minutes later I start getting this feeling of extreme unease beginning in my stomach and spreading through my entire body. My vision becomes blurry, I feel sick and I see these flashing lights everywhere and in the lights there are faces all around me, terrible faces of demons who want to hurt me. I hear voices telling me to cut my own throat, beat myself to death, choke the life out of my dog, stuff like that. I felt like I was trapped in a waking nightmare I could never get out of. But beneath all the weird shit there was a voice of reason, my own voice I think, saying it's all gonna be ok, it will end eventually you just have to lay still and don't do anything stupid, the only danger here is what I might do to myself. So i lay completely still not saying a word for 2 hours until it finally stopped.
The strange thing is that despite how terrible an experience it was some small part of me wanted to relive the nightmare... Just a small part though, I'm done with shrooms. The day after I smoked a very small joint, ready to watch a good movie and just chill....well that didn't happen, after about a half hour I go on another bad trip, although this aftertrip wasn't nearly as intense as the first one and didn't last as long but it was still pretty scary.

Yeah, I also had an 'aftertrip' 2 days after a bad shroom trip that was triggered by a joint. It was totally unexpected since I never had such an experience caused by weed. And although I felt recovered from the trip 2 days later I instantly linked it to that most unpleasant trip. I hope you had some good trips as well? :) Perhaps eat half of the amount next time. 50 shrooms at once, even if they're small, seems like a quite the amount!

Yeah I had some good trips as well, first time i did it I ate more than 50 and the second it was around 70 and those were my best trips. Maybe I'll do it again when they start growing next year, I've learned my lesson though 50 is way too much and I'll never mix it with weed ever again.

That sounds really horrible. You need to work through those demons, tripping should not be like that. I bet if you tripped again it would not be like that.

And yes, for about 3-4 days after you trip, your mind is really sensitive and open. Smoking within that period usually always triggers a psychedelic high.

I smoked weed on most of my shroom trips and it generally was a postive addition. Doesn't have to count for everyone naturally but I think it is not sure it triggered the nightmare experience. In my case(s) it was almost always the mindset or unprepared uncomfortable circumstances that caused the trip to get unpleasant.

I agree that if you 'work' on your mindset or circumstances that might trigger uneasyness there is a larger chance the next trip is more positive but I don't agree a trip should not be like this. A shroom trip can be both positive and negative and which ever one you get it is how it should be. I think a 'bad trip' can give at least as much insight as a good postive trip, unless you're in it for the jolly fun and are only freaked out and dissappointed when it proves to be different and very intense and unsettling. That being said, of course everyone hopes for a positive and fun experience, I preferred those myself too of course. With hindsight though, I appreciate the uncomfortable trips just as much.

It would have better if I said, tripping doesn't have to be that way.

Good or bad you learn lessons, but the mushrooms work in such a way in which you grow. You can fight through your demons, and experience heaven all in the same trip. It will usually help you work through it.

Won't be 50 cubes Asmodean.. I assume. Probably semilanceata, or those other guys that look incredibly similar somewhere in the states?

Wounded man, but don't be discouraged.. shit happens. Think back on the experience, what was "said", what you felt, how that relates to day to day life. Write stuff down, some of it may seem silly and strange, but if it hits a note somewhere inside you it doesn't matter..

I've had a couple "fuck this, I'm not going back" moments after rough experiences.. but that settles after a while, and the primal urge to ride the unknown comes back.

I have a pretty rough trip a few days ago myself.

I was camping in the bottom of a narrow canyon with 80 foot walls and was about 50 feet across. During my trip rocks kept coming loose of the walls and tumbing down..... CLACK CLACK CLACK BOOM CLACK CLACK CLACK...... and due to the echoing of the canyon and the auditory distortions it was the most horrible sound I had ever heard ( like someone lining up 100 windows and then throwing a rock through them) and I spend the entire night terrified a rock was going to come down and crush me.

Haha yeah man, that's an unexpected and unsettling circumstance that can influence the whole trip... Sounds like an awesome location though :)

Yeah it was a pretty bad ass location. Not another person for miles..... no light except for the moon and the sky was full of stars.

Also I found a huge flat rock to lay on and stare up at the sky.

I've found weed doesn't mix well with psychedelics for me... has sent me on a few negative / almost paranoid spirals... just generally not pleasant experiences. I avoid it completely now - just not worth.

Only time I use it now is when I'm out of the trip if I have a headache - it's great for getting rid of any head pain for me. I then tend to distract myself with a funny movie or something & then it keeps me in a better place.

MDMA + weed on the other hand = match made in heaven :D

That's funny, I'm the opposite.. I love weed on a trip, but my better roles have been without weed.. until the comedown of course

For me it's only ever sent me negative with the exception of one trip.

Look at my dmt + 700ug report... That started sending me negative, but with the ego separation, it let me look from outside, break myself, my beliefs and my whole universe and rebuild it. It was wonderful, but it definitely sent me analytical again. Thankfully that one was positive... Some others have been annoying.

I think it's because I've abused weed a bit, so I've lost some of its better effects for now. Big break from it and I should be able to enjoy again. I think it's more timing and frequency of use than the substance itself.

As for rolling, I find it sends my roll a bit more trippy and warm fuzzy... Nice for a home roll. But it stops some of the nice rushes on comeup. So I tend to save it for peak and come down when it gives me a really nice positive smiley stone. When I'm rolling for a night out though... It's only for shortly before going to sleep when home :)

I love combining it with a little bit of base... Keeps the e feelings going for hours longer!
