I'm not a HUGE barefooter. I like to walk around my home barefoot and my yard, but that's pretty much it. I have lots of friends who love to go barefoot wherever they can get away with it. I also have a few friends that are completely anti-barefoot. To the point where they have to where slippers at home, or at least socks. They even have to where socks to sleep. The only time they are barefoot is when they are in the shower or the pool. Now I know that Barefoot isn't for everybody, and I don't have a problem with it. To each their own. However, my few anti-barefoot friends can sometimes give me shit when they are over at my place and while I'm barefoot. They don't always do it when they are over, maybe once every 10 visits or so. Just curious if any of you have friends you sometimes give you shit for being barefoot?
ppl like that are doing that cuz they have no lives. it's a sad world, when we are talking about,,(sigh) who is and isnt anti-barefoot etc. wow,,, like, watch a movie or something
See those that never take their shoes off have a higher level of foot related illnesses. fungi, ingrown nails, ect.. they cover their feet because they are embarrassed of their own. give you shit cause they cant walk freely without shoes, because people will laugh and point out their funk..
I cover my feet most of the time but that would be because the nerve pain in my feet.If i am at home or my yard i don't mind being barefoot but if i have to drive my car that is when the shoes come on.
I dont always wear shoes or socks, but some people take barefooting way to far. Getting turned on sexually by it. I really dont understand. Oh my gawd i went outside barefoot today in the rain it was SUCH a turn on for me oh my goddd heres pics. And people who bitch about getting kicked out of stores for being barefoot, their store, their rules. deal with them.
Yeah I'm a barefooter, and yeah I agree with pretty much all that you said. That kind of behaviour can attract the critics and snap a person into the belief that there are anti-barefoot people. Everyone's different and some people just don't understand why. It sounds like some of these 'anti' people have their own problems or are just takin you for a fool. TBH I don't think most people are anti-barefoot. I've never met anyone. Sure I've been to places where they would rather I wore shoes based on their perception of manners or health & safety. Also I've had the odd heckle of 'get some shoes' etc, etc in the past. However I think most people don't really care that we don't wear shoes and barefooters get a bit OTT and draw attention to themselves. Perhaps I'm just lucky, perhaps I have a rare experience, but that's my point of view. Love Shayla x
personally i alwayz wear flip-flops/sandals i've had athlete's foot before, and it sucks, really sucks. when you are barefoot a lot, or let your feet air out like w/ flip-flops it makes it harder for the fungus to take hold. they need the sweaty,damp confines of a shoe to really start up. not saying you cant get it by being barefoot or whatever, it just makes it harder to get.
eh, back in high school some of my friends used to joke about my bare feet a bit (they used to call me jem, because they somehow decided that the character with that name in to kill a mockingbird was the most famous person known for going barefoot; i don't even remember the kid's footwear being mentioned in the book). but they were just having fun, nobody actually gave a shit what my feet were wearing. yeah, this is definitely true. i had a few foot fungus incidents back in the day, and airing it out was the best solution every time. i certainly haven't in real life, but they sure like to post on here.
Look up any YouTube vid showing a girl's bare feet, and look at the comments. There are some pretty sick, twisted people around in that regard.

I am not anti-barefoot, but I personally cannot bear to be barefoot unless I am walking on carpet. Any other flooring, and I need to have socks and/or shoes on my feet.
I have a friend who is completely grossed out by feet. She seriously can't even look at em. When she first told me this i jokingly took off my sock and stuck my bare foot up and she became extemely mad and nearly puked. I guess everyone's different though. I personally love being barefoot, especially while longboarding.
yep ive lots of friends making fun of me whenever they can and some even freaked out to the point of telling me that the hippies of my kind should be shot at sight or never ever dare to shoe up bf at their pad. needless to say that i sacked this kind of friends. even among the tolerant ones sometimes there are circumstances that induce them into asking me to get shod. only a couple of them are totally fine with my way: those i had bf journeys with. but basically the trouble is that the italian are born philistines, conformist and are terrified by the thought of being fingered at. in fact they are nothing but a bunch of cowards, slaves and bigots.
for what i remember the only one who is bf at some point is Scout when wearing the ham costume . but Jem knows that the ground under trees feels cool. this could suggest ... wtf im talking a lot of shit :bomb:
