So I'm freaking out now and so nervous!

I saw a flyer in my college abou mychild looking for ambassors but I'm in arts so I send an e-mail to geet some info. They said I wouldn't need to travel or stuff, it would be all in the school and all it would take was some challenges, talking to students and promoting stuff.
I really want it, I think it would be great for me, for my future because it's like volunteering and I'd feel really great but I at the same time i started to freaking out because I'm a freashman and I would be really nervous to talk in public and to talk to the seniors students but I really wanted it! So badly! What should I do?! How can I handle it?

 

Just dive in, you'll get used to it. I say go for it!

 

My mom is saying that I shouldn't... but I want it... plus they said to me it was like 3 times a year and I would have to organize it. Organize things, find guests and stuff...

 

go for it, why not? all freshmen have to talk to seniors; they're the ones that can buy you beer.
