Because i want to keep all my computer data; music, movies, anime, games, etc for as long as possible (forever actually). Is it Flash Memory? Like USB pendrives and SSD's? I know they are limited somehow like the number of times you can write on them, but i would just send my 2To\Tb of data on them for backup and never actually use them again unless needed.

I never experienced data loss or corruption, HDD dying and all but i'm paranoid and really wanna keep all my files intact and forever.

Please help this poor soul. Thanks.

Best method is to use a redundant backup on different media like DVD and a removable HDD or external HDD. Also these different media should be stored in two different locations if it's really sensitive data. You can get a fireproof lock box to store the HDD in. I only use flash for quicky projects because they tend to be the most volatile media in use these days... SSD's are best left for system use as they are costly and no more reliable than an HDD

for your situation i would think an SSD and data DVD's. an SSD has no moving parts like a regular HDD, so in theory it shouldnt be as fragile. but as mentioned above, you should have more than one backup, and stored in different places. if you can, store regular office documents on the internet and DVD's also.

    - sometimes your internet service provider also provides online storage.

I never trusted online storage for anything important or personal.

Alright thanks for all the answers. I guess i'll stick to HDD and USB for now because of all my data. I'll buy another HDD to store all my stuff until 1-2To\Tb SSD's come into existence while being affordable.
    A good day to everybody!

2 HDDs in a RAID 1 confiiguration (mirroring). Writes an exact copy of the data to both disks, so if data gets corrupted on one disk, there is still a copy on the other disk.

I store personal media on my own private website but I use Icloud to store music, apps and videos. I store college papers in my emails in case my computers break down or i lose a flash drive. As for DVDs I store those on more than one flash drive usually.

why not purchase an external hard drive.
They aren't very expensive. Well the bigger external hard drive the more it costs but you can save a lot of stuff on them.

I have an external hard drive. The only problem is external hard drives as well as flash drives can get broken and lose the information. This is why I also store things online.

compact flash drive cards. There is a way to convert computers to it but I think the biggest size is 32 gb. They last a long time even if they drop on accident.

a 2 TB portable drive maybe? or you can consider an online option there's plenty out there offering online backup storage at a reasonable price
