Today the kids woke up late and I woke up early.

I kept the TV off all day, but eventually I decided I needed to go to the store...so we walked to the corner market and one kid(5) lollied behind picking up flowers and tripped on the concrete and got a big scrape on her knee. She is perfectionist and makes a big deal of these things, but this was really a big one and so it was tough to get her to relax about it...but we had some good conversations about it that I think helped her relax a bit about being perfect. So we got to the store, got bandages and disinfectant wipes first...then I got juice for them and alkihol(for me).

On the way back baby(2) does her normal stop in the middle of the parking lot to lay down and say "I'm sleep", so this time there are cars around and I'm like, "you gotta get up babe", so I pull her up, but she fights more than usual(it looks like nothing, but...) I pulled too hard and she cries about her wrist.

Now I have to walk back with 2 whiny babies, holding one and then I play angry birds with her, and feed her and give her drink to her because she can't lift her wrist without crying.

I'm afraid I might have to take her to a doctor which is a phobia of mine... I'd have to find a doctor(fast) or take her to a hospital(I'm very picky about doctors and hospitals completely freak me out)

But... it is certainly a learning experience. And looking back on this a few years ago I know I wouldn't have been able to handle all this whining on my own(I used to have extreme anxiety, but now I am quite calm and enjoy babying them, although I do worry) and it does make me wish I had someone to help with all this, someone who cared for and understood my kids as I do.

Aw, one of those days. Hope it gets better tomorrow.

Does the baby's wrist look like anything is wrong?

Thanks daisy... things are much better today. Her little wrist never looked swollen or anything. I'm not sure why I called this adventures in parenting as it was quite unadventurous. Anyway I think I just made that thread cause the kids were sleep, which meant it was my time to drink.

I completely understand what you're going through. My second youngest (Evelyn) is 3 and EVERYTHING is an ordeal. Hope everything worked out ok for you.

How many little ones do you have?

I have two 5 and 2...my two year old just tried to throw my camera in the toilet. It got wet but my 5 year old screamed at me about it and she stopped.

I drank one beer that night. One shot a few nights before that.

The kids are just fine, but I am not used to so much drama with them...usually things are much more chill. They get hurt very little and they never get sick so it is just out of the ordinary for me. I know I'm very fortunate because I've also taken care of lots of kids before I had my own and worked with lots of new mothers so I know it can be much tougher than I've had to deal with...

Also, it really wasn't that big of a deal, I just wanted to make a thread. It wouldn't have been fun to take my little one to a hospital, but luckily I didn't need to.

Wow! You must be superwoman! I babysat last Friday for two extra kids so I had my 2 year old, a 4 year old, a 5 year old and an 8 year old...it really was wild!
