Hello all, I have been clean from heroin for almost 5 months. However, since I got out of my outpatient class I started smoking weed again. I get my scripts through the programs psychiatrist, and they often require drug tests which they send to the lab for refills. I can't use someone else's pee because they watch me go to the bathroom. I was either going to a. get a detox drink and do the reccomended steps, or b. dilute my urine/exercise/take b vitamins/etc... My question is if I use either of these methods, will the suboxone still show up on the test? I need a negative thc ad positive bupe(suboxone.) If anyone can shed some light on this or a better way I would be extremely grateful. I have around 5-8 days before the test.
I would recommend a combo of A and B. The suboxone will probably be gone if you stopped use now, it's more the weed you need to worry about, but if your a light smoker 5-8 days and a detox regiment gives you a good shot to pass.
Dilution is the best method you can use to pass for thc, but the suboxone in your system will also be diluted, potentially to the point where its undetectable. I would say to just be honest with your doctor. As long as they see that you arent abusing opiates they should keep you on your prescription. I'm pretty sure thats what the tests are for in the first place. They wouldnt want to give suboxone to someone who's still abusing other opiates.
thanks for the responses. Eatslyserg thanks for that input. I don't want to dilute the subs out. And I would be up front but because it's a recovery/outpatient office they don't care what drug it is. My counselor said i may have well as slammed up cuz it's the "same thing" as smoking. I was thinking about crushing up a little bit of sub in the piss but i dont know if that will yield a positive because of metabolite detection and such. I shouldnt have even gotten into this position but an addicts always got an excuse
Well I went in there and had to talk to my counselors about why I hadn't been in for a month and so on. I told them that I had smoked and was scared about facing withdrawal... which is a pretty accurate statement. I ended up getting a 2 week script but if I don't stop smoking then I will be taken off the meds. I'm not allowed to call the doctor directly, I have to schedule and take everything through my counselors first who seem to take all of this way more seriously than the doc himself
