So I was laid over in Reno for a few days. While awaiting my train, I stopped by Walmart to buy some snacks and entertainment, as it was a two day train ride. Anyhow, the book selection was shit. I picked up the book Fifty Shades of Grey, as there's been a lot of talk about it, and I figured what the hay. Anyhow, the book is atrocious. I don't understand how it's so wildly popular right now. Perhaps I can imagine young teen girls really getting into it. My head hurts from this trash. I'm definitely not creaming in my jeans over this. I want the three hours of my life back. There's no real point to this thread, except I highly advise against this garbage.
lol, That book inspired my boss to ask me what a butt plug was. I've never read it, but god, that made me laugh.
lol...the only grown woman I actually know that has read that book reads on maybe a 6th grade level (and writes on maybe a 4th grade level). She LUVed it.
:smilielol5: And the boss thought you might know the answer to that question because... (?) On the other hand, am I wrong in thinking the term "butt plug" is kinda self-explanatory?
Well, I guess she thinks I'm more studied on the kinky things than she is? lol, I'm not sure, but I also had to explain what fisting was to this woman.
It sounds like she just likes making you describe these things As for the book..... isn't it at least good that wal-mart carries things that talk about butt-plugs?
The original Dracula written by Bram Stoker (a name I always thought would make an excellent porn name) , its really really badly written, far worse than 50 Shades, like its written by child. Yet its spawned countless offspins throughout the centuries. It was the idea that took hold. Same kind of thing with Catcher in the rye, Salinger dumbed it down for the character, so its written sounding like the musings of someone a little backward. But the book went nuts when it was released cos it was bad ass back then. Its just the timing and just the idea, doesnt have to be good work. And word of mouth, sometimes that is hype, the latest Bond film, I thought that was pretty average....but its gone nuts, taken 850 million so far, 2, 3 times the previous ones already...I can only put it down to the timing after the little skit in the Olympics
