i don't think the honesty of greeters ever enters the minds of most people. i think the naive idealist type generally thinks the police, or maybe the clergy, are the pinnacle of honesty.

 

stole the beer cuz it was easy, and ya get a rush. plus i was broke, and fuck it i wanted some beer. if you knew how much i stole from those stores you'd be like (damn they are still in business)

but yeah really if your going to steal, you should only steal what you need. like lamisil,or something of that nature.

and yes walmart does take from all of us on a daily basis. and you should see the pollution they cause as well.

 

dont you feel like youre cheating yourself and you dont really deserve the things you steal? i guess you dont have a conscience

 

or i guess its that having more and more material possessions gets you off or something. A friend of mine from highschool shop lifts occasionally and tells me about it for some reason, and hes also a future hoarder in the making. maybe the two are related.

 

Kleptomania is another possibility. Sometimes it's not clear what causes a behavior. A judge in my town was caught for shoplifting cosmetics. Anyone who buys cosmetics knows how expensive they can be. This judge probably had enough money but she stole anyway. Maybe it was for the money and also the result of some psychological condition.

growing up in a nice suburban neighborhood we used to rob houses.. now that was fun . stealing food from a grocery store must be depressing
