anyone else use tumblr? I've recently become addicted and would like to have some friends on there.. etchedacrossmyheart.tumblr.com
doesn't seem like many people use both.. It's kind of a shame though. Although tumblr is not great for replying, and text posts.. It is a great little window into what makes people click. But hipforums really lets you dive deeper, as tumblr just lets you look through windows.. anywho.. anyone who does have a tumblr, you can follow mine. tailspin.tumblr!
...yet Tailspin only makes it to No. 3 on your cartoon list It's a nice page, btw. I've tried once or twice. With other types too - Blogs etc. Never had the patience for them for too long. Facebook lets me do that type of thing, and you kinda have a captive audience.
cool, thanks I followed you back... and before anyone says it, yeah, mmm bop listening to my hanson Lp I just ordered actually, yeah, hanson on vinyl (awesome)!!
Actually, I got the tailspin from the moe. song! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmD66BFAG50"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JmD66BFAG50
I tweet & tumbl...facebook kinda sucks though, I deleted mine.. I also have a wordpress. Just for my thoughts..not intended for anyone else to see.
I'm determined never to use Twitter. I'll be hashtagging EVERYTHING. I'd only really want to follow Stephen Fry: https://twitter.com/stephenfry Facebook did kinda took over the others - for me atleast. It's been several years since I've delved into much else. It's nice to be reminded there are other options out there every now and again - so thanks.
Yeah, I've sorta exhausted all social networks...I only go on twitter and tumblr from time to time. Too much of social networks isn't good, I think. Well, I've been spending the free internet time I have mostly on hipforums. I really dislike facebook though.
I know I will sound kinda old, but it is kinda hard 4 me to figure out..lol.. When I do I will be sure to add all my HF friends that have one
Blue & white is kinda a horrible color scheme indeed. I also dislike facebook because of the un-necessary drama and people posting there whereabouts every second, every day and just posting things that don't need to be posted...the 'masses' don't need to know everything about you.
I imagine they think it is 'timeless'. It can be rather random, though. Once it said I was in South Africa, when I was in England I've never even been there. There really isn't too much drama on my wall. There was when I accepted friends I didn't really know past a few posts in a discussion, and they turned out to be argumentative, disrespectful asses. I just booted them Generally I get to know the person first, or just ride the tide if they happen to be family. I have words with them and they generally listen (and vice versa).
same here. i always found it kind of odd how so many people despise facebook apparently just because they keep friending drama queens. it's like saying i hate tv because i refuse to stop watching annoying daytime soap operas.
Timeless? that's a good explanation actually, lol. Well, I had tons of people from highschool adding me on facebook and I would accept the friend request then all of their drama and whereabouts would show up in my feed. I wasted lots of time I shouldn't have on facebook. Tumblr is more fun and I get to see groovy art and photos and quotes.
I bet you can find something like this at FB HQ: Blue and white is a popular color scheme steeped in history. This classic color palette dates back to the ninth century, when cobalt-blue pigments were used to create motifs on white pottery and porcelain in China. During the 18th century blue and white printed fabrics began popping up in France. Blue and white is an appealing combination because it is a very serene palette that looks natural to most people. In design it creates a feeling of elegance and simplicity that is unparalleled. I imagine if Facebook had arrived when I was 22-25 my wall would be a whole lot different. If I'd not been part of a few forums it would be a whole lot different (a looser relationship to get to know people). I've kinda found the middle space with most of the people on my wall, and we don't cause each other drama. I can see how it can get out of hand if you don't find the 'unfriend' function - or you find yourself sucked in. I wouldn't close my account if there was drama, though - I agree with I'minmyunderwear.
