to be fair, even with non-random names and the ability to hover over a thread title and preview the first post, there's still no good way to know whether or not you want to read a thread without clicking on it and reading it. which forum it's posted in is the only real way i screen out certain threads, but even then i'm sure i miss some gems that way.

 

I always go to new posts or user cp. That's why I got a talkin' to, for posting in the Lesbian forum. Never look to see what forum a post is in.

 

that's what i do too, but i generally keep an eye on what forum the thread is in while i'm at it.

i will occasionally miss it and end up posting in one of my forums to be avoided. and occasionally i'll venture into one of those forums just for the hell of it, usually if the thread is still on its first page and doesn't require much catching up.

I've never understood why people want to have a mental illness. I know people who have schizophrenia and are bi polar, and it's no fucking picnic for them. How would you like it if you had dreams or voices in your head telling you to kill your family? Or one day waking up thinking you actually did kill someone? Or being on an emotional roller coaster every day of your life? Or having to be institutionalized and end up in a padded room? That would be pretty scary, and it happened to my friend. They later found that she was a threat to herself and she was put in a hospital. I really hope you think something like this through before you go destroying your brain hoping that the outcome will be some kind of brooding mental illness.

lol...I agree. I wondered if it was trick photography or if there were 2 goats posed just exactly right. Yeah, a 2-headed goat (grown and living goat) creeps me out too.
