Whose to say anyone really knows anything? How do we know 1+1=2? Were we not all taught something without knowing in such an instance that we must believe in something? Do we not have to believe the evidence itself is real, and if so what of the evidence of that evidence? The belief in knowledge is merely a belief in the belief of a universal truth, which may be universally false within another reality of completely different beliefs.
It is true that the only things you can be sure of 100% are the things you have experienced yourself (and maybe not always either as we can misinterpretate our own experiences too ). The stuff we accept as true knowledge from a secundary source like a book or other person all require some sort of trust I guess.
Ahh, I'm sorry then as I've misinterpreted it. I think we are ants. Do ants know about people? Do ants notice people? There are ants. We look down on ants. Ants probably don't realise we look down on them. And we are bigger ants. And maybe something bigger is watching us and we don't realise it. Some bigger ants than us ants. And maybe some even bigger ants are watching those bigger ants. Do you think small ants are watching smaller ants who don't realise that they are being watched by bigger ants? And those small ants are so small, that us ants and any other bigger ants than us ants can't see those small ants, therefore assuming that they don't exist.
Yeah, I quite enjoy it. Lets me forget about the horrible world we live in. And we need to ask questions. Just think how absurd it could have been for cavement to invent a wheel. No one knew how to use it. It took time before they understood this absurd and realised it wasn't actually absurd. So you might think this is an absurd but it might have been a groundbreaking theory leading to scientific expanse and solving all worlds problems. I like to fuck with my mind. I think it can be called mind masturbation.
Some things you need to know as absolute fact. For example, you need to know the effects of gravity if you are on the edge of a tall building. You probably don't want to empirically test that, along with several other facts that come in handy from time to time. By the way,do you have change for a 20? I'll take that in 50s,please.
Knowledge is being shared. Reality is non local, nor is it remote. The universe/multi-verse is made of information. Knowledge flows freely into an open mind, that is a mind not seeking to define for itself, or itself, but to apprehend the voice of the world. Knowledge is an interstellar probe far outpacing mans efforts to civilize himself. Could we really be the measure of things? No doubt we may enjoy things. No doubt we find suffering. A trick of the focused mind, we generally find what we look for. Generally because reality is non local nor remote. Specifically, tastes vary.
1+1 equaling 2, is a convention that has proven useful and consistently so. the ability to recognize the usefulness of such conventions indeed constitutes much of what we call knowledge. we are also able to recognize that some things happen more often then others, and that some things happen more often when other things happen first. this is the whole of what we are able to know. it is however, sufficient unto the purposes of knowing.
That's just a correlation. Correlations dont always prove facts. Many of the greatest correlations have proven to be nothing more than correlations.
the term absurdities is relative only to those who believe the particular subject is absurd. One could just as easily claim that another is absurd for believing that a particular ponder is indeed absurd making all of us absurd through correlation.
I wasn't referring to fictional, merely the possible non-existence in one particular reality. whose to say which reality is right. some psychotic people may see one reality whereas we may see another. we are taught that in reality red is red. we were taught this by seeing that red as someone told us it was. it could thus be possible that i see blue but am taught it's red; therefore, believing that it is red. there is no scientific evidence to dis-prove this claim, because you were also taught that it was red. we can even describe the color, but we were taught those descriptions as well. How do you know the people in your dreams dont truly believe they are real? during dreams time dilation can take place, thus sometime thinking its days or even years. how am i to know that you're not dreaming about me, and that is why i exist in this reality?
how do you know we dont matter? perhaps we all just have to small of a role to realize our importance in the universe.
