    Hi folks,

I'm 44 years of age. I can say I was one of the last people who took LSD (and used drugs) with a purpose. I have a master's degree in Engineering Sciences, so please, do not judge me as a dropout. In my younger days, youth took 'drugs' in order to expand their mind. Yes, I am a big fan of mind expanding drugs, not mind narrowing drugs like alcohol or cocaine. Not party drugs either. LSD and Psylocibine make you a better person and in my opinion, our world leaders should have this experience at least once in a life time...so should every police officer.

    Love to hear from you,

    The SpittingMage

I found a new hobby: growing shrooms. I am new to this, because I used to grow money and Software and such unimportant things, so any advice is welcome :)

Hold the phone there dude, this is a pretty bold statement. Plenty of people use LSD for the purpose of expanding their mind. This site is full of in depth discussion about the deep spiritual ideas surrounding the psychedelic experience as well as a wealth of individual research into newer drugs of which many have the same kind of mind expansive potential as LSD and psilocybin.

Just because you have a degree doesn't mean you were the last person to use LSD to it's full potential.

    Psilocybin.

I never stated that my education had anything to do with the experience. And yes, my generation were probably the last to use LSD before the crappy XTC and other drugs came. peace brother.

I think you and I probably persue the same hapiness. Let's get off on a better foot. And I am sorry. English is not my first language.

I apologize as well, I was simply taken aback at the notion that no one past a certain generation would continue to use drugs in a mind expansive way, or that the existence or prevalence of MDMA could somehow preclude the desire or ability to use LSD in the way that you say you have. I think there are many people on this forum both younger and older than your generation who have a great deal of knowledge and insight to share on these subjects.

Anyway, this thread has gotten a bit off topic, and I suppose I've yet to do so, so welcome. I'm sure you'll find a lot of interesting stuff in the psychedelics forums.

Welcome and there are many individuals on here who use Psychedelics for mind expansion, I agree many more could benefit from it.

One interesting tidbit about XTC... When XTC and raves came on the scene in the late 80's/early 90's it prompted a reemergence and renewal of interest in acid that hadn't been seen since the early 70's.
