I have been reading about philosophers stones and other psilocybe truffles and I was wondering if anyone has tried them and could give me a review. I am thinking of buying some because supposedly they are stronger and better than regular shrooms. Is this true? is there a noticeable difference? And which is your favorite species of truffle? Thanks for the input brethren.
Ive looked into them lately actually Like some other psychoactive grassland species such as Psilocybe semilanceata, Conocybe cyanopus, P. tampanensis can form sclerotia–a hardened mass of mycelia that is more resistant to adverse environmental conditions than normal mycelia. This truffle-like form gives the fungus some protection from wildfires and other natural disasters.[8] Other Psilocybe species known to produce sclerotia include Psilocybe mexicana and Psilocybe caerulescens.[1] Sclerotia are also produced when the species is grown in culture.[9] From what I have read each website will tell you that they have a rare very potent species Which cant be true because its different on each site and their are only like four or five main species they sell. I havent tried them but I was interested. to me it sounds like you got to eat too much for the reward. I hate munching regular shrooms as it is. But if you get them be sure to report on it Cause I would love to hear a quality trip report. Cheers and good luck
Yeah I noticed that you have to eat like 10 grams or somthing. Which would be kinda tough if it tastes like regular shrooms. (and im sure it does). But I most likely will try them at some point because I am definitely curious. I will be sure to report.
That is 10 grams wet weight. Phil stones were a curiousity for many years and people would grow species that produce them just to try growing a different species then your usual cubes but they never took the place of regular shrooms because they are nothing special and are not more potent. They are only recently popular because Amsterdam banned mushrooms a few years ago but did not ban the active ingredient (psilocin and psilocybin) so selling Phil stones is a way around this law. I have grown Ps. Tamp and got some stones.... they taste like ass and look like a diseased testicle.
