i guess it depends on how you define doing something for the first time. i played a flash game on the computer yesterday that i never played before. i set a personal record at the gym the other day. i bought my mom a george forman grill for christmas yesterday, which i had never done previously. i'm currently reading a book i've never read before. i'm posting in this thread for the first time right this moment. if you mean an entirely new experience, that has not been so recent and i would have to think on it for a bit.
Great thread. Just yesterday !!! I sewed closed a big hole in my couch cushion that my dog caused. I've never had to do that before.
upon further reflection, it actually hasn't been that long. i laid carpet for the first time just this past week.
I refinished bath tubs for the first time a couple weeks ago. Did 3 that day and have done two more since. Last week I installed and programed a yokogawa temperature control unit on an industrial oven, hadn't done that before.
the funnest recent one i can think of is late this summer i went for a seadoo ride...that was my first time driving one also last summer i met someone i only knew on the internet and we had lunch
I'm on vacation now, and for the first time in 6 months I'm able to THINK. So, I've been taking this opportunity to get out of my comfort zone a little everyday. I've been going out to gay clubs, and even (gasp!) some vanilla clubs. Now that's liable to make me feel uncomfortable. The other day I rode the subway to a strange part of town just for the heck of it, etc.
