So I just aquired eighteen 50mg tramadols from a buddy for nothing, and while at college I went on a trip to Johnson City, Tennessee and when I did, I remember taking four 50mg tramadols on the ride there. When it kicked in, I remember feeling beautiful and I couldn't take the grin off my face and I thought it was way stronger than I expected. Then a few hours later I started feeling queezy. We went to hooters that night and I the sick feeling was slowly getting stronger. The next morning we went to a storytelling festival and I was still feeling sick. Then at the festival I would get random rushes of sickness that made me puke, and I kept getting them and I kept puking. I eventually was better that evening (thank God) and the only ones I took was from the evening before. This was about four months ago.
Anyways, the question I have, I have eighteen and I want to take four again but I don't want to get sick and for one, I want to know why I got so sick and why it was so strung out and also, I do got a few 12.5mg promethazine pills and will they do any good to prevent me from getting sick?

Thank you to all who replies :sultan:

Tramadol is not really a good drug to be messing around with... Unless seizures and serotonin toxicity sounds like fun. (believe me they are not fun)

I did it but only took 200mg again. Doing research seems pretty low dosage

400 max in a 24 hour period... But that can easily be exceeded if you started taking them every day because it has a relativity long half life. Also if you happened to be on any SSRI/SNRI psyche meds you shouldn't take Tramadol at all.

I just don't want you or anybody reading to get hurt...

I hear ya man, thanks. I haven't taken any other pill for a long time and defiantly not any psyche meds. Thanks for the long half life tip too, I'll be sure to wait a couple days before I take any again. Do you know anything about mixing promethazine with them though to lower the sick feeling?

    No, not really.

Be careful though... I hate it when people try to use Tramadol as a recreational drug, it really is not a safe drug. There are a lot of threads here on the forum about it... Maybe do a search here before anything.

Promethazine is a first-generation drowsy antihistamine/antinausea drug, similar to diphenhydramine. It goes very well with opiates in that it reduces both nausea and itching. The drowsiness is also sometimes desirable, as it increases nodding. I've also heard that it is also a slight potentiator, meaning it makes the high stronger, but I'm not 100% on that last part. I take 4-6 tramadol about twice/month and 60-90mg oxycodone also about twice a month. I never take them without an antihistamine lest I itch myself bloody. Promethazine is prescription only in the US so I rarely use it. Mostly just diphenhydramine, which is very similar. Tyrson is right about Tramadol being dangerous, but personally I've never experienced any negative effects from the moderate dose I take on occassion. If you are taking an SSRI things can get really bad when mixed.
