We have those. They're call lakes behind dams. There's 4 big ones and the furthest one is 45 miles away. In open desert with nothing around. They're just Not Heated in the Winter.

Yeah, our place is kind of posh looking too, but the up side is washer, dryer, dishwasher, built-in microwave, two walk-in closets, and fireplace in the apartment, and at the building by the pool: Large projection movie theater, Full weight room; full dance and ballet room with hard wood floor, ballet bar, and full wall mirror; public computer room; men and women shower rooms with a sauna in each.

Life's a bitch. Sometime ya have to put up with posh, just to get a dishwashing machine. Oh how I suffer. LOL

 

we'll settle for the lake pools in the summer so an we're coming down the mountain to your pool for the winter.or maybe we could hook a power line up from your place kenny,that will heat the lake pools for the winter ha! ha!

 

Gigantic Solar water heaters! Soaking up the Suns heat. Huge water pumps. Hey Ranger maybe we could get a billion dollar grant from the federal government??? What do do think?

We'd only have to get the lake headed up to 78 degrees F. That's not all that hot.

I also love The Waterboys.I highly recommend their latest album "An Appointment with Mr Yeats".It's a bit different from their other releases but makes for highly satisfying listening.

hi kenny,just checked out all the other pics thanks.an the winners are bartlett lake. i wanta go there an i wanta go ta apache lake and i want ta travel up butcher jones trail.an theres something bout that lake powell to that draws me,but not as much as bartlett and apache lake dose.

 

Bartlett lake is our closest on. Real live wilderness. 1 hour and 10 minute drive. 35 miles. 56.8 kilometers across mountain roads. Remote.

Apache lake would be 75.1 mi, 2 hours 0 mins from my place. The last part on the trip is unpaved roads with big rocks in the road but people still drive caravans up there anyway. They just be careful.

It's Christmas Eve here...gonna make me a nice dish..just on my own..
i know HOW to cook when it comes to the point(ah)although I usually prepare silly junk food microwave oven dishestonight..I'll make a special rumsteak(from Uruguay it says on the packet,blimey??)I'll make it together with mushrooms,a white sauce.and the usual Belgian french fries..and..i even might add a little jalapeno chillies in it..brrr...
then..i'll have a strawberry Haagen Dazs ice-cream..and to end all that.. a glass of Liebfraumilch Mosel wine...
I wish EVERYBODY a good Christmas..although..i'm not a religious dude..
I bet if we're good to one another...that's the best religion there is...
