First off, it might be important to note that I NEVER dream.. or at least dont remember them. I couldnt even tell you the last drean I remember before these last couple... First one: I was at the bar and drove home drunk with a guy who is like a 'friend of a friend' type. I smashed another car head on on the freeway. It was horrible for them, ejected from the car and everything and I got the impression that they were dead. Woke up the next day and went to that guys house to get something of mine that he had from the night befote, but when I got there the cops swarmed and found guns in the front yard. They said someone was in a car crash and then went on a shooting spree (which I dont recall being in the dream, but I felt very panicky and the other guy implied it was me). I tried to go through the house to get to the wooded area in the back to make a run, but it just led me back out front to the cops. I awoke right when they addressed me. The next night: The town I grew up in is about 10 miles north of where I live now and I was running in a panic, checking my phone for the best way to avoid major streets. I stopped by my house to get my dog, but the cops started closing in. I ran out the back, again in a panic, and just ran through the woods with my dog before I woke up. The first one is the one that concerns me more... but I feel like the second one is related, therefore relevant. Am I running from something or like scared of something irl? Or do I have some desire to do something fucked up that would get the cops swarming on me? Is alcohol the problem in the first one or hedonism in general or blood lust? And why couldnt I get away to run in the first one but the second one was all running? I would love to hear some opinions. The fact that I hurt so many people in the first one has really been bugging me.
Just takin a stab here but it sort of sounds like fear of facing consequences for your actions. That is, if all of this is simply your subconcious using symbolism. If so the people yor mind use may not be of as much importance as the overall message. However if this is a premonition type dream then you may want to avoid that dude because you may just be trouble for eachother and the symbolism for the cops and death could become painfully clear after this premonition is fullfilled. Let me give you an example. A few years ago I had a dream that the mother of my two kids and I were driving through the woods on a dirt road. I was on my cell phone talking to a girl that hung out at our place all the time and she was a close friend to me and my girl. Anyway she was giving me directions to a beach party and telling me how to get through the woods and find it. She was telling me how great it was and how beautiful the scenery was. I approached what looked like a 2 inch deep 12 foot long muddle puddle and she told me to just drive through because its the only way through. As soon as I did my vehicle took a nose dive into what was actually an abyss of water and the car sank fast. The car filled up with water and we were 60 feet deep in two seconds and still sinking. My girl swam out the passenger side window but my two kids were in the back seat so I swam back but couldn't get them out of their seat belts. I did everything I could until I realized we were all out of air and time and I held their hands as they drowned with me following soon after. Then in my waking life the girl I was dreaming about on the cell phone called me to come hang out at her place until my girl got off work and we were gonna eat dinner there. I got there and soon after she told me she wanted to have sex and lots of details about what she would do to me and so on. She sat very close and kissed me. I should've left right then but like a dumbass I kissed her back. She is a super sexpot chick and the kind of sexy that guys can't say no to. The kissing only went on for a minute and I stopped it and left and told my girl that night what happened even though the chick said it could be just between us and she would never tell. In hindsight I realized that in the dream her description of the beach party and scenery and good time were symbols for her description of the sexual acts she described to me in real life. Her telling me to come over for dinner was symbolized by the trap of the muddlepuddle that was really an abyss. My girl swimming out the window was her bailing on the relationship and my kids and I paid the price for my mistake. Luckily I didn't bang her and I think my immediate honesty with my girl saved my kids from the tragedy of their parents splitting up as my girl forgave me for being an idiot. I am certain that if I did go any further that we would have been done and my family destroyed. My point is the dream left me wondering wtf for a few days but I didn't put the pieces together until after the real life events played out. Now it seems so obvious. Look for the signs.
I was thinking the same thing about consequences. Like the house led back to the cops because I have to face the music. The guy is someone who I almost never see anymore, as most of the friends we have in common have passed. Perhaps I was too hung up on him when he is really just a prop. I had also considered the possibility of premonition, but I suppose I only looked for very shallow symbolism. You are so right, it wouldnt become clear til it happens. what was your initial feeling surrounding the first dream? the feeling/sensation or wtf type of thinking is paramount to precog/warning type dreams. if u can answer 'strange and unusual, not sensed before type of thing ' in your thoughts/sensations/emotions then i agree with the above poster to stay away from that dude.
i think your being warned, mostly by your own mind, to avoid creating or entering, however best you are able, on the surface of it, careless/thoughtless behavior, but on a deeper level, stressful situations resulting from it, which are what cause people to go ape shit and do all those really terrible things. it can happen to anyone that they end up doing those things, but anyone can also avoid getting into those kinds of situations were they do, whatever it takes doing without, in order to.
