Now if someone could rig up a wood stove or a fireplace to heat a tank of water, and then pipe the water into the hot tub, mixing it with cold water of course to get the right temperature, then we could go hot-tubbing and have a nice fire to look at too.

my neighbor in the city told me him and his brother used to make hot tubs, where the fire was in the middle of the tub heating the water and people would be sitting around it, if you wanted more heat you needed to put more logs on the fire... they said that it had a fairly high rim to stop the water from going into it and that it was a huge pain to get the ashes out and the fire started... but apparently it was great.

it is SO nice to be able to take a hot bath when you live outside!
sometimes the cold hose just doesnt do it.

if you can get ahold of an old cast iron bathtub, you can elevate it
and make a fire directly underneath after you fill it. then you need to
put some boards in the bottom so you dont cook your ass.

also, if you get an old hot water heater, you can light a fire under most
of those too, or use a fifty gallon drum. (make sure its not coated with paint on the inside though)

even if you live in a house and hot water comes out magically from the walls,
its still nice to take a bath outside!

Im pretty sure i could make my own hot tub from a round stock tank.
And a wood fired stock tank heater. You can find a great article on this at backwoodshome.com
look up "jackie clay" she is a great homesteader.
I cant really afford a hot tub unless its at a flea market for $50.00
