http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedhealth/PMH0002393/ It seems that is what has been bothering me, but being unemployed my only option is to visit the emergency room to receive treatment. Anyone else had this problem? How did you get it fixed, if at all?
My father has a form of vertigo, I don't remember the specific kind, he just has too much fluid in his inner ear. They put him on a diuretic and 0.125mg of klonipin. He had to come off the diuretic because it was hurting his kidneys, but what really helped him was the physical therapy. Unfortunately even that wasn't perfect. Good luck, it's a very difficult condition to treat. I wouldn't recommend going to the emergency room unless you notice an acute change in condition. My dad had to go through several days worth of outpatient testing before he got a diagnosis, so there's not going to be anything they can do in the ER, assuming you're right about your self-diagnosis.
