SAve Your KEiF!!

I haven't been but KNOW i really should! I want a bunch of suggestions how different ppl do it so I can maximize the keif harvest. Get creative.

My idea is using a glass nug jar instead of plastic baggies, maybe put a screen in the bottom too and save the kief!:sifone:

I just use a grinder with a keif catcher. It can help to put a coin in the compartment with the weed to slide around and knock the keif through the screen so it doesn't get clogged. The way I see it however you grind your weed you're gonna end up losing keif from the bud in the process to fingers, scissors, whatever. With a keif catcher you can put it to good use.

 

I store all my bud in a glass mason jar, and I don't know how but over time a lot of keif just built up along the edges and stuck to the walls, and at the very bottom, underneath all the bud, theres a bunch of it... I store all of my nugs in one jar, then i have a seperate jar for the stuff i grind up, and if i just shake that jar around the weed gets so fine it's literally like powder, and it's like 50/50 crystals... Can't wait to smoke it lol

 

You know, I bought this grinder and it must just suck or something.. It gets clogged up a lot. I ground at least an oz through it and in the kief compartment there was like.. One hit maybe. Then I smacked my grinder on the table about 5 times and got at least a gram out of there, of 50/50 bud/kief.. Oh and I always keep mine in a prescription bottle(only really buy 1/8s at a time), and along the sides was a good bowl of kief after a whole oz had been through everything.. Kief is pretty nifty. Unless you are a grower, I wouldn't throw it away Weed is expensive.

What is the best kind of grinder to get? I need to know about them so I can get a different one.

We tried something last night for the first time that gave us a shitload of keif...we made a nice little hash ball with it actually

Take a wine glass, wet your finger, and wipe your finger around the inside rim of the wine glass. Grind up your weed and dump it in the wine glass. All the keif will catch on the damp part of the glass.

 

I'll grind my weed and leave it in the lower compartment with a coin, then put it in the freezer 15 minutes.
Once you take it out, shake it up and you'll notice you'll get a lot more keif!

hey could you go into more detail on this freezer / grinder / coin method?

I have heard of people making ice hash before but I have never seen it done, just YouTube. everybody seems to have their own way of doing things.

also what would be a good place to get a grinder online ( for cheap cuz I'm broke)

Does anyone ever press theirs with the little thing that you screw together? I use to have 1 a long time ago but that's what I always use to do with mine and then stick it on top of a bowl mmmmmm

 

If you want to really get it all off, and sacrifice some bud quality for seperate kief, you can freeze it and then sieve it, you need a food grade strainer or screen, formed into some sort of box. You could, of course, put a screen in your jars, as you said.

If you grind weed in a standard electric rotary coffee grinder, kief will collect on the top, especially if there's any parts that stick out, or a corner or something. It won't be the best grade as it will also have flakes of green, but it will still be very intoxicating.

I need a kief presser or soemthing. ITs so annoying to deal with. It kept sticking to my card last night, and wouldnt all get into a pile. Then when it did get into a pile, I put it in my chillum, and as soon as I inhaled, it all came through the hole into my mouth.

It was disappointing.
