I like to collect old books. I have books from the mid 1800s that I found in my parent's house.. and I looove to go to library books sales, or any kind of books sales for that matter. You can alway find old books there. I love it!

    I've collected things.

Things that you like but are easily come by are a pain in the ass because you amass too large a collection too quickly. I've started and ended up getting rid of several of those types of collections.

Really difficult to come by items are going to be a collection that you will enjoy for a much longer time.

    I'm an anti-collector.

But I am a candle hoarder. I have a closet dedicated to candles.

I TRIED to collect quality glass bongs.... but I got to two, roommate happened to one, cops happened to the other, and then things changed and I no longer have the time or money to smoke, or the money for glass that costs more than my car.

I collected coins once upon a time. I think my collection is actually a lot more valuable today, but probably not so much when you factor inflation in.

I'm a terrible packrat, but I just collect things, not any particular thing. Cool things. From vintage electronics, to nick-nacks that I could mcgiver into something else, to whatevers.

I suppose I collect tools, but not in the sense of a crate of tissue-wrapped objects.... I'm always looking to get more tools, of every type. Some of the greatest, moste useful, most fun, and if you get the good ones, most beautiful, objects that exist.

I also collect books, but in the same way that I collect tools to have a well stocked toolbox, I collect books to have a well-stocked library.

i collect beer caps - one of each brand that i try. they are small enough that the collection won't get too big. and i don't drink that much. and i could always throw out ones like budweiser, miller, etc. and just keep the rare ones.

i have a tiny collection of foreign coins, but that collection has been static since i was a kid.

you could also say that i collect CDs, but they have a purpose other than looking cool, so it's not the same as collecting beer caps.

my dad collects deer antlers. he has quite a collection.

I would love to collect WWII memorabilia. I need money first, haha. A couple years ago my cousin moved into a house after a really old guy had lived there. He left everything in the basement, and while she was going through it she found really old furniture, National Geographics from the 1950's and '40s. And a WWII uniform. I keep forgetting to ask her if she'll let me have it. I think she might, she isn't doing anything with it. I'd even buy it from her if she gave me a good price.

I used to collect alcohol bottles, but only the ones I had a part in drinking. Now I have a ridiculously large collection of dusty bottles and I just need to get around to tossing them. I sort of collect rubber ducks and things with rubber ducks on them, but my collection kind of got out of hand and now I have way too many damn ducks. lol. Collected bears when I lived at home, don't do that now cuz I live with a smoker. Currently, Yoshi/Mario stuff is what I collect. And Chuck Taylors.

It would be pretty fun to collect beer bottles. A lot of companies put some pretty awesome artwork on the bottles. I love Flying Dog's bottles with Ralph Steadman's art on them. He did the artwork for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

    Dust, mostly.

Not on me so much as around my apartment. Landscapers come once a week and use leaf blowers on everything, everywhere. And then the maintenance guys go through every other day with thier leaf blowers.

And if that wasn't bad enough, I'm a construction worker so every day when I take my clothes off more dust is added.

I gave away a futon the other day that I had for two years and never vacuumed under. There was a big giant pair of antique sheetmetal snips I'd slid under the futon just after I bought it and forgot about.

When I picked up the tool all the dust on it was falling off and it looked like I was picking up a relic from the floor of an Egyptian tomb.

I've collected a few different things over the years. I used to collect comics, coins, and beer bottle caps. For a while I collected Pyrex coffee pots and glass vaculators. I also collected hammers for a short time. I spent ten years collecting die cast cars and trucks and bought way too many to deal with. At the moment, I am not collecting anything, and for me that's a good thing.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the calendars and old road maps. I like stuff I guess.

Over the years I've collected a bunch of things. I have a lot of vinyl records. Mostly punk, original pressings, 7 inches and LPs. Three series of Living Dead Dolls (I know hahaha and the minis). Simpsons on DVD only up to season 12 though. Retro b movies old sci fi and horror on DVD.

When I was younger I collected Spawn toys and other Todd McFarlane figures and was part of his club. Soldiers of the World and GI Joes. Random rocks I've found. Deer and animal bones I've found in the woods mostly jaws and skulls. Tea.

Vintage sci fi books (The Terran Trade Authority ones are my favorite). Music books like Go Tell The Mountain by Jeffrey Lee Pierce, vintage books like plays, biographies, rare books on smoking pipes, movies, old literature. And stuff I can't name off the top of my head.

also, i collect all kinds of toys from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
man i have a ton of toys. i'd like to get into collecting legos but it's pretty expensive.

and beers. i have a pretty extensive beer cellar aging beers from around the world.
