I don't care what people have on. Sometimes though, I will see a lady /girl with completely warn out sweat pants on wandering in slippers. I think then to myself how it took me less then 30 minutes to look decent and wonder why she can't get it together.

I honestly don't give a shit what I look like.

I dress pretty nice on occasion, but on weekends or when I'm home from work and have to run to the store for something, you better believe my comfy pants are staying on.

I don't wear sweatpants in the traditional sense of the word...no flannel or pajama style pants. I wear ones that look like this:

I enjoy dressing nicely because it gives me confidence. I would be confident naked if I had to be but I like pretty things. Today, I was walking down the street and these random kids told me they liked my pants and I looked pretty. Totally made my day.

    LOL ^ Jo! :D

Yesterday I went to the grocery store and there was this woman in tight flannel pajama pants with the WRONG team on them, walking like she was advertising on a street corner. She then turned around and I saw she was older than me (or looked older anyway). Sweet bejezus...that was scary. There ought to be a law. :p

Most my PJ pants have big holes in the butt these days. They're made so crappy, can't really leave the house in them without risking flashing the whole world your business.

lol heated thread about jama pants! love it! I could care less what people wear but dont expect me to take you seriously if you cant bring yourself to clean yourself up and get dressed in the morning. lol I dont want to hear how hard it is to meet someone, or your last interview didnt go so well because they were focused on your looks, or you cant seem to get a promotion at work. (and this goes for those that actually wear jamas or sweats all the time, not you jama banditos running to the store lol) You dont have to conform to society and they dont have to conform to your logic that dress doesnt matter. Such is life. :)

I thought this was a thread for "pajama jeans" which are still pretty awkward to wear around in public. When I was in college people wore pajama pants to class all the time. I guess that's not so bad, considering most of the ones that wore pajama pants are probably hung over and just woke up. I wish I could walk around all day in public in my pajamas, but I have a bit more decency than that.

Those are more like jogging pants. For all anyone knows, you could've come from the gym. I don't think those are that bad. Especially not for little errands. I just think it's stupid when people wear jammies with little hearts on them to go hang out with their friends and I'm thinking, god you look like a slob.

I think wearing jammies out should live and die with high school. I kind of understood then because no one wants to get up early and go study all day so most kids (seniors more often) would at least be comfortable so they could sleep in their unimportant classes or whatever. But once that's over, it's not acceptable to go to work like that, and I certainly wouldn't go to college classes that way either.

I wear sweat pants a lot and my boyfriend wears sweatpants nearly 24/7. I love the way he looks in them anyway...

I don't ever wear pajama pants to class or to go around town and when i see people in pajama pants around town i don't really care. I don't ever really wear make up and now im in the northwest i just wear shoes during the winter because it is too cold outside to be barefoot. I am very casual and i just wear what i feel like. I don't sleep in my pajama pants or go around town in them i mostly just have them to lounge around the house in. I have only wore pajama pants a few times when i was really really sick with the flu or strep throat and had to run to wal mart real quick or something. But at that point i look like shit anyway and just want to get what i need and get home anyway and don't care what people think.

Everyone has personal opinions about what is acceptable in public and what isn't. Some people just are judgemental.

It just doesn't make sense how someone wearing pajama pants in town or at school is completely horrible but i don't think its as bad as a super tubby girl in jeans so tight her fat overloads her jeans and her ass crack is stretched 4 inches above her jeans.

you are entitled to call people what you want...

what do people say about you when they see you in public?

are you under the illusion that it is always complimentary?

i guarantee for every slob you see there is someone that saw you in a similar light...

people are obsessed with what they perceive is societal standards and then think a complete stranger, whom they they know fuck all about,is a slob for falling short of their stupid standards....

    tsk tsk you judges:)

i never saw pajama pants in high school. most people feel like they need to be presentable there. in college dressing like a slob is pretty much expected.

i remember when i was in college overhearing a couple different conversations about how you can always recognize a freshman because they still dress nice for class and haven't started going in their pajamas yet.

Maybe it's not always complimentary..I just feel like the way I dress is not too revealing and not sloppy, so if anyone actually did say something then I'd just shrug it off because I'm not indecent in public. But I do see your point. Everyone has different standards, and you can't dress to please everyone. But there's a line between being comfy and being too comfy.

Really? I guess I assumed people would dress nice for college because they're paying for it and they want to make a good impression lol

true...and i believe the reason is that many things in life are way more important than dressing so a select few will have complimentary[their eyes not mine] thoughts lol

many people reserve impressions of others until they actually meet/know them

i get judged all the time...long hair...i'm over 50...my wayward son....i'm a pot-head...and many other reasons....thats why i am a little passionate over this debate:)

I have never worn pajama pants but it has never bothered me what people wear in public. Then again, I grew up with my hippy parents dragging me to nudest camps. I rather them go out in pajama pants than naked ;-)
